Can a GF Barb Merc Survive Hell

with crappy gear?

i know eth warpike BOTD, eth bugged Fort and eth Andy's work great.

however, i was thinking- can my new GF merc handle council on Hell with me leaping with only 2x amn Bonehew, CoT/non eth Andy and your suggestion of an armor?

are these stuff really necessary? i'd much rather spend my HRs on my hammerdin

With AmnAmn Bonehew(is it eth?), CoT and say..Treachery + your BO and Shout, he should do fine. Ofc, he will have slower killspeed vs a Fortitude on him, but he would do fine.

and i was thinking non eth Bonhew, but i can get an eth if it makes a big change.

Remember you get insane resists from Treachery. When Fade triggers(and it will do quite fast), your merc gets 60% all res and 15%dr + 20% more coldres, 20FHR and 50%gold

I would suggest using the andy's helm on him. But he can kill, just not as fast.

In my experience, no.

I tried Bonehew and Treachery but my Merc not only took forever to kill anything, it died often. I'm now using Ebotd Warpike and AP Fort with Lem'd CoT on my merc (a2 nm might), and it kills fast, and stays alive. In fact I just got 1.15mill gold before item sells from hell trav

Pretty much. Instead of creating games I just join games with random names like "fdlksfhd". Usually stays at only 1 other player and the majority of the time they leave within a few secs. Means I'm not using up my 20 games per hour, so I can run faster and don't have to care about ditching a game when there's a phys immune.

Just an addition, I haven't seen a guide for dealing with hell trav (just nightmare), but in addition to using Leap you should also put some points into Battle Cry. I have 5 points in it and find it helps a lot. Leap onto your mercs target, battle cry, then back to leaping.

Edit: Oh, and the reason Treachery is useless is because you're leaping constantly! The council is stunned so much they barely get a hit in on your merc and thus fade rarely procs. Definitely a waste
