if its a non superior then new def = 560*(100+70)/100 ...rounded downpiggiz said:Calling all Mathematicans, how do I exactly calculate the defense of the Armor I make for Chains of Honor (+70% Enhanced Defense).
Lets say
Using a Armor with defense 560.
Thanks.
ORrrrrrrrrr you might have a superior armor and if you do that get the wrong answer.Sword & Shield said:ORrrrrrrrr
Your common sense could tell you that +70% would be...
560*1.70=952
You dont know how to multiply? O___o?

Dont know how to read my post? It is written as 100+70 to show steps.
Might be useful for you.
Funnily enough i see no part of the guys post that says the armor is non-superior. I must be blind.Halciet said:ORrrrrrrrrr, everyone could let it go before someone gets in trouble. The original poster's question was answered correctly, that's all that matters.

Here, this is all ill say;ToThePoint said:Funnily enough i see no part of the guys post that says the armor is non-superior. I must be blind.
If someone doesn't know how to calculate defense then they probably wont find the fact that its superior to be relevant.
Telling someone just to multiply by 1.7 doesn't help too much as they may miss the relationship between 70 and 1.7.
It also doesn't help in the case of superior or for any other enhanced def question and only helps some in basic def calcs.
I didn't quote any of that, i find it simple and you obviously do from your posts but not everyone does.
Maybe try and help instead of flaming someones mathematical ability.
Soemtimes i like to view the history of a person, i remembered your BVEVEBVEBE HELP!!!!1 post but this was way more fitting:Sword & Shield said:Here, this is all ill say;
First off, hes asking for a final defence of an armor with 560 base defence +70% bonus from CoH. This armor could be Superior or not. He didnt point out it, was therefore there was no reason for you to explain to him the way to calculate it that way.
Second off, how old do you have to be to not know that to find +70% of a number you have to multiply it by 1.70? This is like Pre-Algebra or something?
And agian he never pointed out it was superior.
And third off, this is common sense unless your a struggling with your math, its not "mathematical ability".
If you use prealgebra maths then you will find that you cannot get a dusk coh with that defense. If you refer to my reply to piggiz the actual perfect defense is:sword & shield said:So yeah i got a 971 Arch CoH(Perf), i payed 4 runes for it.. i probably ripped myself off agian but the runes werent that hard earned so whatever.
Im looking for a 912-913 Dusk CoH(Perf).
If you got post account and when your on.
thanks
Shouldn't that be (560+1) * 1.7? Any ed% on armor except for Superior and Pul runes cause the defense of an armor to be set to max+1 AFAIK. It's been a while since I've done anything with defense calcs.ToThePoint said:if its a non superior then new def = 560*(100+70)/100 ...rounded down
so 952 if 560.
no, probably as it didn't spawn with the def% like in superiors or 'magics' with %ed as a mod.RTB said:Shouldn't that be (560+1) * 1.7? Get over it dude, i made a mistake.ToThePoint said:Soemtimes i like to view the history of a person, i remembered your BVEVEBVEBE HELP!!!!1 post but this was way more fitting:
If you use prealgebra maths then you will find that you cannot get a dusk coh with that defense. If you refer to my reply to piggiz the actual perfect defense is:
(467+1)*(100+70+15)/100 rounded down which = 865
somewhat hypocrital it seems that you basically laugh at someone for not being able to calculate something which you cannot do yourself.
