Calculate Armor Defense

Calling all Mathematicans, how do I exactly calculate the defense of the Armor I make for Chains of Honor (+70% Enhanced Defense).

Lets say
Using a Armor with defense 560.

if its a non superior then new def = 560*(100+70)/100 ...rounded down
so 952 if 560.
if its superior (with extra def) then you need to know the base def of the armor - check arreat for details there.
then you do (MaxBaseDef+1)*(100+70+%SuperiorDef)/100 ... round down

or you can use the def to work back and do (MaxBaseDef+1) = displayed def/((100+%SuperiorDef)/100) ...round up
then use in calc above.

560*1.70=952

Considering this is a barb forum.... what u need COH for? BvC uses enigma and Melee use Duress (im not sure but i think they use duress) So wuts the coh for? frenzy?

+2 to Skills, and a nice big +65% to resists coming off an armor is really hard to pass up. 8% LL, DR 8%, and a healthy +20 to strength is also very nice. Sure, it may not be Enigma, but I know of quite a few dueling guilds where Enigma is prohibited, but CoH isn't.

You can try to read the first post and itll say that it wasnt a superior armor.

You dont have to quote formulas from arreats summit to find out how to multiply.

Just use your common sense damnit.

Funnily enough i see no part of the guys post that says the armor is non-superior. I must be blind.
If someone doesn't know how to calculate defense then they probably wont find the fact that its superior to be relevant.

Telling someone just to multiply by 1.7 doesn't help too much as they may miss the relationship between 70 and 1.7.
It also doesn't help in the case of superior or for any other enhanced def question and only helps some in basic def calcs.

I didn't quote any of that, i find it simple and you obviously do from your posts but not everyone does.
Maybe try and help instead of flaming someones mathematical ability.

First off, hes asking for a final defence of an armor with 560 base defence +70% bonus from CoH. This armor could be Superior or not. He didnt point out it, was therefore there was no reason for you to explain to him the way to calculate it that way.

So yeah i got a 971 Arch CoH(Perf), i payed 4 runes for it.. i probably ripped myself off agian but the runes werent that hard earned so whatever.

Im looking for a 912-913 Dusk CoH(Perf).

If you use prealgebra maths then you will find that you cannot get a dusk coh with that defense. If you refer to my reply to piggiz the actual perfect defense is:
(467+1)*(100+70+15)/100 rounded down which = 865
somewhat hypocrital it seems that you basically laugh at someone for not being able to calculate something which you cannot do yourself.

Shouldn't that be (560+1) * 1.7? Any ed% on armor except for Superior and Pul runes cause the defense of an armor to be set to max+1 AFAIK. It's been a while since I've done anything with defense calcs.

no, probably as it didn't spawn with the def% like in superiors or 'magics' with %ed as a mod.
Normals just use the def 'as is'.

Get over it dude, i made a mistake.

It wont do much help by looking in my history and pointing out every little error i made.

I dont recall "basically laughing at someone" i was mearly pointing out the stupidity of this thread.
