Cairn Shard vs Arm of King Leoric

Which do you prefer for your summoner?

I tried AoKL and that random bonewall just sucks, and as far as skills go, it adds one more to skeleton mage and one more to other trees that Shard doesn't add, but are those skills worth trapping yourself in a bonewall when you get hit?

What do you think?

The Arm.

The bonetrap isn't a problem, for two reasons:
1) I know that I'm using the Arm. So, I can avoid getting hit.
2) Usually I just use the Arm to raise skellies; most the time I'm using Gull.

one skill point can matter a lot my friend

the arm, i think, is better cuz of thsoe skills points.

carin shard does give +life though...

its up to you, if you really need that extra life...

Arm for me too. Try avoiding getting hit, shouldnt be that hard since you have skellies all over the place. Or just do as written, use Arm for summoning, then change to a weapon of choice for better combat abilities ;)

Carin Shard give a total of +3 to SM and RS.

The AoKL gives a total of +5 to SM and RS. It also boosts your CE and Mages. That makes it better than Carin Shard IMO.

I use arm to prebuff skellies and switch over to deaths web :D

But I guess that's because I never play with pure summoners :)

Arm

Once you get used to it, the CtC is not a problem though occasionally it could be annoying. I.e. Trapped inside with a fanat moonlord :scared: or trapped while standing over a patch of fire causing walls to stack ontop of each other. I play partied games a lot and the arm has yet to cause an allied death.

Actually, that's not how it works --- the walls don't stack on top of each other. The first prison will lock you onto the fire; the second prison will be around the first --- so when the first prison expires you can move away from the fire and wait for the second prison to expire.
