well d2 was fun for a while, but what happened tonight was the worst single thing to ever happen to me on d2--worse even than getting my account taken, i think, so I'm just gonna call it quits. i gave my account to a friend.
On my account, I only have 2 characters. A lv90 sorceress and a lv70 necro. The sorceress was getting boring, so I've put all my resources into setting up my necro with as good of gear as I could get him. The creme-de-la-creme was going to be his Enigma armor, if I could manage to get one, that is. Well, after trading and trading in public games, I FINALLY manage to get an offer worthy of Enigma, and trade for one in the next game. Now the problem was getting it to my necro. I do a quick /f l to see who's on that could xfer it for me, and a friend from school is on who I decide will be ok. I enter his game and ask him to hold it for me. He does, and RIGHT AS I GET BACK, I see a barb laughing his *** off and then leaving. I ask my friend to give me the Enigma, and the conversation goes like this
"This isn't pat(my friend) this is his brother aaron."
"ok aaron, give me my enigma"
"I did already"
"what."
"I gave it to you just now"
"No you didnt"
"oh then i guess it was someone else, you can get another one right?"
Oh. My. God. I've just traded ALL OF MY SORC'S GEAR for a very nice, low STR Enigma, only to have it GIVEN AWAY BY MY FRIEND, leaving me with practically nothing left. This is the ultimate slap in the face from a game who has already dealt me some rough hands. See ya later alligator. Afterwhile, crocodile. Don't forget to write.
