BvC Stash Gear Questions

I'm having trouble with my space in my stash.

Should I have x2 Dooms OR -->

Widowmaker,
Kira's
x2 More Sorb Rings (so I will have dual Wisps and dual Dwarfs)

or what?

Well, my stash gear is like this currently...

x2 Dooms (HOTO and CTA are on switch)
SS (PvM)
EBOTDZ (PvM)
TGods
Arachnid's (FCR when needed)
Wisp
x2 Angelic Halos
Angelic Wings
5 B.O. Helm
+3 Warcries Ammy
x2 AR/Mana FCR Rings
Arreat's
Demon Limb

I guess I could take the EBOTDZ and SS off, but I want to keep them on there for PvM.

The only thing I could see taking off for Widowmaker and stacking is the DoomZ's...

Barbs have huge life for pvm anyway so those few levels to bo would not make that much difference, I would ditch all the prebuff gear i.e. 3 wc ammy, 5bo helm ( because I never prebuff) - if you insist on having a bo switch higher than 2 dooms use 2 echoing knives (can be shopped at Malah IIRC) which give 6 to bo and take only 4 boxes of space as opposed to 12 occupied by hoto/cta.

Then why are HOTO and CTA used PVM over echoing knives? Ignorance?

HotO is the same as an echoing just going by prebuffing BO.
A +6 CTA gives one more BO but takes up more room.

To be specific.

k what realm you play ?
gear is 2 doom on switch , no cta+hoto
stash
widowmaker
arreat/coa/kiras- depending on what you use atm
foritude if you are flexible build
unless you play east where ppl use bmanas and can get max block and max dr , you dont need sorb other than 2 ravens and tgods.
you dont need prebuff gear !
keep the fcr rings and the dlimb.

Use 2 Dooms always. Hoto and CTA are not needed. The increase is minimal.

SS (PvM)
EBOTDZ (PvM)
Ditch. Firstly, SS is not needed in PvM and you shouldn't need any gear swaps for PvM.

Wisp
5 B.O. Helm
+3 Warcries Ammy
Ditch all of this. Absorb is not needed and prebuff is not worth it.

I have to admit that I use +3 bo amu (don't have charm to replace it) in my inventory, and I do bo with it (dual dooms on switch ofc). That way I get some more life, especially when I'm using angelics (no bo from highlords).

Hm. I'll see what extra life is with prebuff. I want to keep sorb gear for now.

As for SS and EBOTDZ, I use them for indestructable (no repair costs).

the only absorb gear for fire and lighting should be hotspurs and t-gods for resists stack. Dwarf and wisp, as stated, are not needed in those places

None at all? And why is that? Won't that seriously reduce the caster damage I take vs. a good FoHer/FB Sorc/etc.?

OK. Here is my gear

Switched out CTA x2 for DoomZ x2

Stash:
Um'ed Kira's
Arreat's
TGod's
Arachnid's
Mana/AR FCR Rings
Hotspur
Widowmaker
Demon Limb
Angelic Set (x2 rings, ammy)
Stormshield (Indestruct.)
EBOTDZ (Indestruct.)

They take up your sources of AR and more importantly, mana.

2x Wisp might be worth considering if you don't want to stack resistance vs a pure FoHer, but against a good hybrid you'll definitely want high lightning stacking over 2x wisps (you need AR and mana to win.).

Since hotspur is considered to be BM, a nokozan might be ideal as 1. It's only takes up ONE stash space, 2. It open up for gorerider, which the openwound is invaluable against those fireballers with max-block AND high-ES (The defensive ones are very troublesome, regardless of what others say about how 'ez' they are.).

Well, since I now have a few extra slots: I'm going to stick a Nokozan and 2x Wisps on him instead of Spurs. Wisps for crutches just incase I need in some scenario.

Ok, with adding 2x Wisp, Nokozan, I have 5 spaces left. I'm thinking a 1x1 and a 2x2. Any suggestions? Buffing gear? More res/sorb?

No, you surely as hell do not have 5 spaces left, you are 1 space off. You need 6 spaces in order to be able to switch the Dooms for Widowmaker. You see, when you swap them, the Widowmaker will be swapped for a single Doom, but you will still need another 6 spots for the other Doom.

And 2 Wisps are one of the worst rings in the game. Let's see about lightning based opponents for a while:
Lightning Sorc
FoHer
Trapper
WW/Trap
Mage
T/V
V/T

Now, if you look at those, you will need AR to be able to hit the FoHer, the Mage, the V/T and the T/V. Not to mention you should try for a high CtH versus the WW/Trapper. Now, you are left with Trapper and Lightning Sorc, and against of those, you will need high FCR and mana, which you can only get by using 2* FCR rings or some life/mana charms together with Trang's.

Jake: Where the hell did you dig up the stuff about Hotspurs being BM? They don't have +absorb, so they are not absorb. Or are you seriously saying that an item with +15% Max FR and 45 FR is BM?

He merely stated they are considered BM

Heh. My savior :p

Yes, I totally missed the switch on Dooms. So right now I am -1. If I take Wisps off I will be +1. Would you suggest Nokozan or Hotspur? Jake did make a point about the Gore spot, however the Highlord's Deadly Strike is nice as well. If I use Spurs I will need to find 3 more spaces, whereas if I use Nokozan I will be able to add one more item.
