    BvC diffirent approach

    Hi.

Although this is probably a bad idea, im gonna see what you guys think about it

How about this for a Bvc setup.....

2x ummed wizzy (nothing new here)
    dracs
    nigma
    some helm
+2 fcr resist barb ammy ( highlords ds would do nothing for this build)
    2Xraven
    some belt

    blah blah blah basic gear.

The diffierence would be in the charms.

anni and 39X high psn dmg scs

It would reach 110 fcr, would have massive resists, and the damage source would be open wounds + massive poison damage.

    What do you think?

well with strong physical dmg u can one-hit ko casters

i mean, against a good sorc it can be very hard to hit them

u want to be able to kill in one ww

but with poison, u would hav to hit them again to finish them off

oh and 2x wizspike daggers being 'nothing new'?? ive never seen it..

then again a good sorc cant be killed in one hit

    just my thoughts

x2 um'd wizardspike is nothing new. all good bvcs have 2 um'd wizspikes in stash. it is an idea but any good player could easily drink antidote pots and slap on deaths glove. its better to just kill them in two seconds than hit and running. poison charms imo are very weak unless the opponent has crap resist (which no player would have)

Sorcs for instance might be hard to kill... same goes for Bone Necs too...

I can see Hammerdins will own this "new" approach of a BvC Barb...

Other than that, I think it's a fairly good setup especially against FoHers or Blizz Sorcs since you will have like 100 all resi stacked...

I suggest 290's over 100's just because you're pretty much dealing very low damage physically, but hopefully if you can cast fast enough, maybe hit + run style of dueling?

i ment 290s. Better yet 315's. Drinking antidotes is bm, and most ppl wont think of it. Most ppl dont even know it raises your resist.

And yes it would be a hit and run type tactic. Hammerdin own him? With an 8 or 9 frame tele and super life///mana he wont be easy to catch and kill at all.

You'll never even hit a hammerdin with that crappy range/ar. You cant desynch, only tele. Hence you have two choices; either teleport straight to cold plains or tele around in blood moor and eventually die to ibh.

yes u will. The ww only has to hit once. Ibh? screw ibh, this is a hit and run (tele) build

why posion charms? u will have crappy physical dmg, and more importantly, the ar.

3/20/20 is better than 290's cuz it adds life. The best pdsc with life is 175/20.

If u want posion, wwsin does better on it.

how do u have super life without life charms? 290's doesnt add life. Most good bvc barb reach 7k+ life. U dont have life charms then u probably end up with 4-5k. 39 x 20 = 780, with bo 780 x 2.5 = 1950. U simly lose 2k life without a doubt.

Widowmaker seems a better solution for OW/PSN.

drinking antidotes is pretty fair if you plan to load up on an inventory of poison charms then hit someone and run

BM is a myth. There are private groups with rules. That's it. Outside of dueling only with a few friends, no one else is going to constrain themselves to artificial concepts such as self-imposed "manner" dueling. Don't life pot, don't NK. Beyond that, anything goes. And even those two are often in question when dueling at 3 am in TW PK games.

Agree 100%. I have developed a real dislike of hyper-defensive builds whose only skill is running away as fast as possible. Sorcs especially have a tendency to abuse this. The more they run like mad and hope to win by random shooting, the more I tend to want to break out the absorb gear. If it's a running plague zon or something, I can live with it, because, well, they are RUNNING and catchable. But 200 FCR sorcs start to test my good humor when they never ever try to play offensively at all.

No you wont. Please try using wizzies vs a paladin. Now try to hit a desynching pally. You'll realize that it's futile, trust me.

You'll have to hit WAY more than once btw. Even if they only have 75% res they wont go down in less than 3 hits. The real number will probably be ~7-10 hits since you wont score open wounds with every hit. With 85% res your damage is even more pathetic.

Also, with wizzies you lack a counter to tele/hammer, ww down with wizzies is useless.

this is a bit off topic but i see a lot of people suggesting drinking antidote potions and thawing potions for poison damage chars and cold damage chars, respectively

Just read a post that it raises our resists so i got a few questions on it =D
    1) How much does it raise our resists by? Poison for antidote and cold for thawing
    2) Does it just raise our max resist or does it raise and give us resists?
    3) How long does it last?
    4) How many potions do we need to drink?

    Thanks a lot

    1) 50 res each. No more no less.
    2) It raises your max resists by 10 and gives you 50 additional resists.
    3) 30 seconds/pot. 10 pots = 300 seconds.
    4) See 3.

Thanks for the reply. Anyways just got another question.
Im assuming drinking them at once stack? So if i drink 10 of them consecutively, I will get a duration of 300 seconds and + 50 resists/+10 max for each potion? I doubt the latter is true because that would mean i could get + 500 resists and +50 max resists for drinking 10 antidotes/thawing potions. Ill assume that drinking more than one increases duration but doesnt have any more effect on our resists. Right?
