Buy and sell SoJ's for Dclone?

Could you keep selling and buying one SoJ to get the Dclone out?

nope. the whole point of dclone was to help erase duped sojs from the servers. wouldn't work if you could buy them back

Hm, I see, well I guess that makes Annihilus near impossible to get. I read the guide on how to get him out, but I doubt that anyone is willing to sell multiple SoJ's for an Annihilus.

You don't have to sell them all by yourself to get it appear, actually you don't necessarily have to sell them at all.
If enough SoJ's are sold on the same server, it'll spawn.

DClone = the perfect incentive to dupe.
    Ironic, isn't it? :(

I have always thought the same. In order to get rid of duped SOJs, they just created an incentive for people to keep doing it.

It makes sense that you think of it in this way. In fact it makes a lot of sense for SOJs to keep being duped.

But I think the reality of the situation is that SOJ values have gone up (on east NL anyway) where SOJ used to be spare change useless crap, now it is the currency again.

The Dclone thing probably did have something to do with getting rid of the SOJs, probably the selling took place at a faster rate than the duping. I can only imagine that the mass dupe was really bad back then.

Yeah, I know, but what I'm saying is - Would you sell your SoJ for a possibility that Dclone will come out? Probably not :p.

I do have to agree that DClone is just encouraging people to dupe, it is rather ironic when it is suppose to have the opposite effect.

That's not bnet's fault. Anything that is valuable encourages people to dupe it.

BTW, among the people who owned thousands of Sojs, the not so stupid guys still have a mule account or two full of Sojs - on non-ladder, of course.

Well, items could still be duped as we all know it, so I don't know if it really did anything but give people more reason to dupe.

It's too bad you weren't around during season 1. People would fling gobs of NL sojs just to get their hands on some of the new ladder-only goodies. In one trade, I got 200 sojs and a bunch of other stuff for an Enigma - that was two *almost* guaranteed clone spawns right there. I couldn't believe someone actually had 200 sojs just banging away on a mule account. I realize duped sojs were once the "standard" BNet currency, but still, geez ...

They may have a reason but it seems there is no reliable mass-dupe method making the rounds on BNet at the moment. If there was, I suspect we'd be staring at DC's ugly mug much more often than we have this season.

On the other hand, who would want to sit around and dupe enough sojs just to spawn a world event anyway?! Annis aren't that expensive to trade for.

If you can dupe SoJs, you can dupe Annihili as well, so there is no point in duping them to spawn the clone, except for the challenge .

You can't. One person can only hold one annihili.

    LMAO - true enough! :D

For all we know there is a workaround for that. But since none of us are dupers, we can only speculate.

Never say never :) You can dupe by letting games crash. It doesn't involve picking up both Annihili.

Two years ago I accidentally duped Tal's armor that way when a game crashed while muling (and possibly a few other items as well, but only the new Tal's armor caught my eye :) )... at least that's what I assumed to be the reason. I decided to check if it's true that one item gets deleted if both appear in a single game. It is true
