Building Zealer/smite paliden

Hello, I am new to these forums but have been playing d2 for awhile now and I have read a few guides but just want to make sure, im half way there into getting my gear and it is as follows.

- Crown of ages
- Fortitude
- Grief
- Exile
- Gore riders
- Steelrends

Now my question is , what other gear would you recommend, like what charms to put in inventory, I think im going to go with 2x raven frost rings if i only need one let me know, what ammy should i be getting, and any other suggestions to make a really good uber trist char.

I am also going to socket the crown of ages with a 15 % ias jewel, and i was thinking about adding another to the steelrends, bad idea ?

Also what would be the best switch weapon, i was thinking maybe death and a Hoz .. any other ideas let me know, I find the Paliden my fav character and its been so much fun so far !!! :thumbup:

With "Grief" pb and a lev 27 Fanaticism Aura you only need 9% IAS to hit the 4fps (if I am remembering right). So maybe you could try a "Grief" BA because of it's damage boost.

For the switch weapon I would recommend a "Famine" BA for PIs or "Call to Arms" for cries.

I don't like to use a lot of skill charms. I ever use dex/ar charms (if you can get the lev 27 Fanaticism with your equipment, of course) and at least one charm with poison to prevent monster healing.

Ammy: I would use a Highlords it's cheap and good (maybe the best you can get).

I'd definitely socket your steelrends with an 15% IAS jewel; that would make it priceless.

Your gear is pretty much optimal. Just add 2xRaven or Raven/rare Dual Leech; Highlords; Verdungos or Thundergods. Socket the CotA with Ber if you can afford it, otherwise consider Um or Shael. CtA and Spirit on switch.

Read the guide (1 pt Smiter/Zealot uber guide) for extensive help on equipment.

Socket the Ravens and Highlords with Ber or Cham.

So Im going to get the cta for backup then, is there a difference whether you get the pb, or the flail ? . Ok will be putting the ias jewel in steelrends, what does the ber do when socketed into cta ?.

when you say socket the highlords with a ber or cham, what exactly do you mean, highlords is an ammy, can you socket an ammy to ?

Im just wondering what the ideal Base str is for a zealot

I thought it would be pretty obvious: Steelrend is gloves and can't be socketed. Obviously same for amulets, rings and runewords.

The base str for a Zealot = required strength minus strength bonuses. In other words, it depends on your gear.

Ok well thanks, I got all the info i needed , still kinda new so its nice to know what the experienced players got to say now time to go level.
