Building a NL Uber killing Paladin and need advice
Working on 2 Paladins, a smiter and a hammerdin, and need guidance/ advice on what to do for skills/ gear. Both Paladins are lvl 76 with no skill/ stat points used, and left from a previous ladder season. I have just recently gotten around to getting them uber ready.
My goal is to create a NL Hammerdin and NL Smiter who can do Ubers and solo it if possible. I am not very rich, and mostly rely on trading runes/ gems/ jj/ currency for items or doing the occasional dclone game to get an anni and trade it. So getting all the good stuff is a very slow process, but I am slowly getting what I need. usually I Just get whatever items I see other people using. Most likely I will not have a merc, since I never got one, and don't have any good merc gear. Thought I could just buy some random merc and give them junk gear.
Hammerdin gear I currently have available:
Wiz Pike (many people online recommended it over HOTO)
33 Hoto
Archon Enigma
Crown of Ages (1soc, with a Ber in it)
Tgods
10/18 Ptorch
Waterwalks
rare ring
Ravenfrost (17 dex, 155 AR)
Trang Gloves
Goreriders
Dracs
SS
Tgods v Arachnids, any preference? (assuming I could get one)
Getting a Anni might be possible, but all the fancy life/ resist charms and Pcomb will be most difficult for me to do. I need advice on which gear to use from the above list, and what gear/ charms to add in so that my character can do Ubers.
Skills- one of the guides recommended the following skills:
20 Blessed Hammer
1 Smite/Charge/Holy Bolt/Holy Shield
20 Concentration
20 Blessed Aim
1 Might
20 Vigor
10 Resist Lightning
1 Prayer/Defiance/Cleansing/Redemption
However, everyone I see online says to avoid Resist lightning and spend points to max Holy Shield, and some even said to avoid Smite, which people here seem to like. Which skills are the best for a solo uber runner?
Now, for my Smiter
Gear:
Guillaumes Face
Lightsaber
Metalgrid
Gores
Dracs
Verdungos or Tgods
No Anni or Torch yet, but I can always use the Ptorch from my hammerdin
Ravenfrost ring
Great hauerbeck Fortitude (left over from previous ladder season)
I also have Guardian Angel armor and Vipermagi armor, but I doubt they would work well v Ubers.
Since this will be NL, Grief PB Archon Fortitutde will be very expensive, and most likely out of my price range. Like the hammerdin, getting all the fancy charms with +resistancs, +skills or whatever else will not be easy, so please recommend gear that considers that.
Based on whatever gear people recommend, are there any skills that should be changed? I was just going to do the standard Zeal, Fanaticism, holy shield/ sacrifice unless people tell me otherwise.
