    Bug upgrading Ripsaw

When I upgraded my ripsaw flamberge the graphic changed from the regular flamberge skin to the skin used for todesfaelle flamme. Does anyone know if this happens with more weapons when upgraded?

This is an old leftover feature from 1.09 and previous, where the base item dictated whether a unique got a different graphic or not. If a unique has a graphic defined, it should stay during upgrading, but if not and the new base item has one defined, it should change. Raven Claw changes graphic to that of Kuko for example, and loses it when upgraded to Shadow Bow.

Does this apply to unique armors? Would be cool to have a Silks of Victor Sacred Armor with graphics of Tyrael's  (Although I bet it would look like Templar's instead).

There's more to an item than just the base graphic. Items can also be colored, there's over a dozen available, and it's even possible to specify a different color for the character view and for the item as it's shown in the inventory. Silks of the Victor uses the unique graphic for Ancient Armor with no coloring in the inventory, and is specified to use orange for the character (some colors are less visible than others, it varies a lot). Tyrael's Might uses the same graphic, but has Dark Blue specified for color. Thus, even when upgraded, Silks of the Victor will never look like Tyrael's Might.

I'll have to check this again, but I was under the impression that silks showed up dark blue on characters.

goldskin is orange when worn, and silks is dark blue (not sure if its EXACTLY like tyrael's because I don't have a tyrael's to make the comparsion, but it should be close enough)

EDIT: I'm talking about the character, not the look of the armor in inventory

Silks of the Victor only appears blue on a character. By the way, a Silks upgraded to an ornate plate therefore displaying the corpsemourn graphic (also used for Griswold's armor) is interesting as well.

Wait, what colour is it in inventory THEN? Silks are uncoloured, Corpsemourn is black, Griswold's is dark-gold. Could you post a picture (if you have one)?

I always like a once up'd Twitch. It looks like Iron Pelt, only Green.

I'm afraid not, but I know I've seen one somewhere. Looks like another thing to search for.

    Re: Bug upgrading Ripsaw

People have been doing this to scam others for quite a while now by claiming "hidden mods". Some want to believe it so bad that they are willing to trade actual good items for something that is nothing more than a silly collectable.

    (Hellforge Hand Axe anyone?)
