I'm just happy due to my great rune drops tonght. I was doing some hell countess runs trying to pick up some quick runes for crafting, and got a bit more than I bargained for. The first 2-3 produced nothing worthwhile, but on the 4th the countess dropped me a MAL! Then, two games later a unique ghost pack dropped me a BER! So, this is my highest rune drop since they added runes to the game.

Now, if only I could get a ral or a nef...lol

Congratulations, this is a very nice drop ! I myself dropped an OHM in the pit three days ago :winner: (did Blizzard increase the HR drop rate or what :scratch: ? That would be awesome !).

how much runs should u theoreticly need to get a hr from pindle ? I wan't to go run him with 400 mf for levelling purposes only need 80 to level now but next level is 200 or so, so how many should it take to theoreticly drop a hr, how many pindle runs.

The chance for Pindle dropping Cham in a single player game is about 1 in 1.7 millions. The best Cham droppers are Izual, Hephastos and Nilathak with a chance of 1 in 887k. Meph, Baal and Diablo have a chance of 1 in 853k for their quest drops and 1 in 975k for their normal drops. Among the regular monsters, ghosts are the best Cham droppers (if they can drop it at all), with a chance of 1 in 5.7 million. Cows have a chance of 1 in 11.7 million and all other regular monsters in hell who can drop Cham (except for the high level areas, this starts in act 3 IIRC) have a chance of about 1 in 17.5 million.

Killing 6-7 ghosts, 12-13 cows or 20 other monsters in hell provides the same drop chances as killing the mentioned bosses, so it's better to kill as much hell monsters as possible than to find and kill bosses just for the runes.

 

pindle runs

 

I've only restarted about a month ago and the highest rune I got is a Pul from Nm forge.

 

I did a 500 run count a few months back, it wasn't extremely productive. I think I pulled an ist, an um maybe 2, and a gul found in the entrance of level 5. Maybe not typical results, but I still run it once in a while when I need lower runes for something.

Thanks for the support, but after 25 or so runs I finally found a ral, and gave up for the night...lol. Things drop when you don't need em, and don't when you do. Go figure.

That's quite a good rune for nm HF. Um is max IIRC.

@Omikron Sounds like a deal. All you'd have to do is come up with however many it would take to cube a ber on ladder, do all the cubing, and wait for the ladder to reset. Then I'd trade you. :lol: (129,140,675 if I did my math correctly)
