Bowazons.

Bowazons are a pain in the ***. Their guided arrows reallly hurt. I am a hammerdin and I can't seem to find my way to kill her. I try to tele and outdodge/outsmart her but she spams too much at a time. Any hints?

Bowazon are one of the only chars that practically own hammerdins. Unless the hammerdin simply explots her lack of def and block and charges her to death .... :)

thats where the bowzons equipped with a jav switch come into play. :wink3:

I doubt most players will be able to switch to Jav fast enough between the smite induced dodge lock, the panic and the attempted run away.

zons do it all the time. when you see the paladin coming after you, just switch to jav. you don't need to wait for them to make contact before you switch.

yep, my glasscannon bowazon have an eth upped titans and ss/ phoenix on switch, when the pally is about to get on my screen, i switch from bow to jav/shield and fire LF while running away. with dodge and block (altho the % of blocking is reduced while running) it's become ALOT harder for the pally to get a charge in than the bow setup.
btw a knockback glove is a must.

lol u dont have time to switch when pala is in ur face due to delay time for switch by which time ur allready dead.

by the time pala gets withing 1 screen or the edge of ur screen u should be switched if ur using an ama

yeah kb is essential i used to do the same tactic versus bvcs and smiters also in pub switch to lf + kb it can cause quite abit of trouble

what?

if you start the switch as soon as you see them make contact, of course it'll be too late. the point is to predict when they are charging and switch beforehand.

When you throw LF and KB triggers you actually get pretty much time to get away, about 1 screen if you have enough Frw.
In that time i usualy fire 2-3 guided arrows, switch to shield + titans run and throw some more. rinse and repeat

Anyone who says a zon can't switch and walk/bolt a smiter simply hasnt seen someone do it. A pally with charge and smite who just charges and tries to smite will lose to this. Good teleporting smiters and those who predict r/w can win. Imo a good smiter will still kill a bowazon, but simply putting on grief and charging won't do it. Most bad pub bowas are easy to get with a grief though.

It is definitly not hard to switch versus chargers of any kind. usually you can see pretty well when and if he's gonna charge you.
The problem is that you will need quite some hits and your opponent will 1-2 hit kill you (I know that this can take some time with dodge skills and maxblock).

Always make sure you _walk_ and dont run (like someone else here said) because it reduces block immensely, even if you desync less.
If he namelocks you, desync wont help a lot anyway.

As soon as he uses Holy Freeze, I would say that the bowzon is effed.

its true there is nothing u can do when holyfreeze is factored unless u are lucky..

as the aura pulses put u in to D/E/A and then u have the palas charge etc = lock up...

It they use a shield or doom, the yes.
If they dont you should be able to kill mos of them pretty easy.

i have actually found more success with running, since if your frw is high enough, the charges won't actually land on you because you'll be up and out of range by the time the ax comes down. then if you throw in desync (especially from the kb from bolt/lf), it actually makes it very hard for the paladin to hit you.

i personally have found that when i run/throw back lf/lb, i only get hit once out of maybe every 15 charges. usually, because i throw back lf/lb so often, by the dynamic of the stop and go, the paladins charge hits you while you're throwing, meaning you have 75% effective block.

so i general, i find running + frequent stops to throw > walking vs. charge.
