Bowazon or Javazon?

What is the smartest char at HC, a bowazon or javazon (got no good items yet).

I thought a javazon is the best, because you can wear a shield with it, but how do you think about it? And which skills + stats are the best for it? I ask you for your help, because i couldn't find good guides about a bowazon or javazon for playing HC

A javazon probably is your best bet untwinked if you want power. Lightning Fury tears through enemies like they were made of paper at level 20 without synergies. Charged Strike owns bosses, and Jab/Plauge Javelin can be used to kill the lightning immunes.

Lightning Fury is a no brainer but the poison aspect will give you plenty of enjoyment too.

Imo a bowzon, But both can be good killers + safe.

Max strafe
Max penetrate
Peirce - Depends on gear
Max valk
Crit about 6
D/a/e 5 each

Stats
Str for gear
Dex - rest
Vita enough for 900ish life.

With knockback, Valk + merc and decoy. You will rarely get hit, And if you do you will leach back, or Juv.

Any character is good enough to play Hardcore! Follow the basic building blocks and guides on the forums here and you cannot go too far wrong.

Some can waltz through the game and others will struggle. It all depends on what you want to get out of the character. I play for fun, I've never found the Uber items that some people seem to think are a pre-requisite before making a character. I'm happy if I find Sigons gloves!

A Poison/LF zon will slow down it's killing speed once you reach hell but hey, most characters do to a certain degree. You do have the advantage of another element to take out the Lightning immunes. Some may say that a decent Valkarie and Merc will take care of them (which they will). It all depends on what you want. I'd try something different, single element characters are very powerful but the immunes in hell may cause probs.

I was always under the impression you needed a good bow for any BOWazon to be an effective killing machine .. and sadly I never found one. So I haven't ever made one.

Am I wrong? Should I try one out with a crappy bow or something? I dont want to have to fire 500 million arrows into a Hell fallen to bring him down though.

Like an above poster said, any character can be a good character for hardcore, but it's all a matter of how you play and where you stand whne you're making the character.

If you're just starting out, then you probably don't want to pick a ITEM dependent character, like a bowazon, instead you'd probably want a javazon, that is more skill dependent.

Personally, depending on how expeienced you are on HC, I'd suggest the Javazon. Pure light javazon + 1 in dodge, evage, avoid, critical strike, penetrate, peirce.

To me, javazons are just safer bets than bowazons. You need a decent bow to kill things, you don't have block from a shield, and it's also more difficult to get higher resistance on a bowzon.

I don't care for valks, so I personally wouldn't get one.

There are alot of hell capable bows. Can be found in nm/normal baal.

For lvling skystrike is nice.

Hell wws, Buriza, Goldstrike, riphook.



Valks = another tank = Less chance of you getting hit.

I don't like light zons to start untwinked mainly because of immunes, But i guess they can be avoided.
