Bowazon Main chars unite!

Okay im so sick of the rumor and ppl talking of how bowazons are weak and dead and nobody uses bowzons anymore thy suk at pvp and pvm not able to run ubbers without help and how javazons own bows. Not sure if u guys hear about this but i do.

my main char is my bowzon lvl 91 it is the perfect build imo for both pvp and pvm

Gear

Helm- P Vamp Gaze with a legit 40/15 jewel

Weapon- P Faith GMB/ 5bo cta sheild/spirit mon

Armor- 15ed 1668def AP Fort

Belt- 200ed Tgods

Gloves - 20ias KB crafted

Ammy - Cats Eye

Rings- 2 20dex ravens

Boots- Waterwalks/gores

Charms - 13/16/6 anni, 18/17 Ztorch, 451pdsc, 7 20 life sc's

Attributes
With both said and done here were my stats with gear.

Strg - 111
Dex - 482
Vitality -95 - lots of ll- 20 lifers
energy- 100 - lots of ml


Skills
Max Strafe
Max Guided Arrow
Max critical strike
rest into multi, valk, or w/e u decide.

With all that....

my norm dmg is 1180-5200k dmg
guided arrow- 1200- 6900k dmg
strafe- 1113- 4100k dmg

Life is steady at 1600 with 5bo

mana at 250

and yeh with this zon i run all 3 ubbers and ubber trist in bout 20 min., gr8 at dueling with GA n guided, Strafe and multi are gr8 pvm skills and yeh.


jus liked to share my bowa build becuz i hate ppl hating on bowazons =).

my main char is my hybrid lvl 89, she plowed through hell untwinked and then I got some better items through trades. She is the executioner because when the going gets tough, I move her in and kill everything, she also isn't bad at all for mf, killing everything up to meph and baal with ease

Gear:

Helm-10/26 Andy's with 15%IAS/+4 MIN jewel / Shako (self-found )

Weapon1 - 1/15/3 Faith GMB (self-found bow)
Weapon2 - Titans/Wizardspike - Spirit Monarch

Armor- 1566 def AP Fort (perf Life and Resists) / 1025 def MP Enigma

Belt- Razortail/Goldwrap/Eth Nos Coil depending on the situation

Gloves - LOH (self-found) / Dracs

Ammy - Cats Eye / Atmas Scarab

Rings- 20dex ravens / 5 ml, 15 dex, resists ring (both self-found)

Boots - 41% Travs (self-found)

Charms - 16/20 Ztorch, 2 Passive Charms, misc resist/mf/life charms

Attributes:
About 1200 life, 300 Dex, rest strength

Still using my lvl 99 1.09 ama.. she still is okay in both pvm and pvp..

Gear.

Helm: Giant skull with 2*40%ED/15 IAS jewels = 80% ed and 30IAS total

Weapon: Faith GMB 15 fana +1 skill

Armor: 1560 def Forty Great hauberk +29 res

Belt: Razortail

Gloves: Rare selfound 20%IAS, 3%mana leech +2bow

Amu: Cats eye / Atmas

Rings : 1 raven 243ar 20dex / BK 4% life steal

Boots: Travs 36% MF

Charms: Ama torch 11/11 (crap) rest is psn charms (175, 100 and 200..) and some lifers..

Attrib: about 1600 life with bo 400 mana.

Skills: Max strafe, max guided, max critical

Damage Multi 2800-5000
Guided 3900-7300

well, i don't know about pvp anymore since most chars now a days with super powered runewords have pretty much erased any advantage that zon might have. (GA used to be able to lock on with a wide skew and hit 4 times per arrow... sigh... those were the good days)

while not uber in any sense, here is my zon-build:
17% Gaze + 15IAS/9Max Jewel
Fortitude Great Hauberk*
Faith Matriarchal Bow (think nitroflash trade me the bow, thanks nitro!)
<on switch: titans/lidless>
Wilhelm Glove (too lazy to craft)
20 dex raven - 5% mana leech ring + 9 to strength
cat's eye
waterwalk
13 stats annihilus
15 stats torch

2.8k normal attack... AT 7 FRAME BABY YEH!!!!!!! (no might)

skill tree:
max GA/Penetrate (I like the AR, bite me)/Fury
enough to hit diminishing return in: pierce/critical strike/3 defense skills
1 pt in valk, rest in decoy

act2 might merc:
insight grim scythe (thanks sorcguy)
crown of thieves
duriel shell
(standard i guess, borrowed idea from fishymancer guide)

*(p.s. looks better than AP. score 1 in style point for me. i laugh at the fool that uses AP. enjoy your gray chest plate. looks like a flat board with 2 half soccer balls. my golden shiny thing actually show curves. in ya face!)
*(p.s. number2, why is the word "hauberk" used in breast plate class anyways? i just wiki "hauberk" and it's more of a chain mail class armor.)

can't pvp (obviously, no charms. i tried just for fun once against a smiter i think. i did 1/8 damage with ms before i got wrecked)

pvm not GREAT (at least compare to hammerdin), but decent... except against souls (i swear to god those things used to be lightening immune only, when did they make it physical immune too?)

pv ubers haven't tried. (i assume i need to have a pair of 20 ias gloves with Knock back, prevent monster heal, crush and blow... all of which i am still too lazy to craft.)

oh yea, stats:
78 in strength
rest in dex
base vit/energy

final comment: i love my out-dated 7 fps zon. it might be a 80's ferrari, but still own your 2007 porche/mercedes/bmw anydays (at least in style point)

The more I read this thread, the more my heart sinks. Are Bowazons really not that good for PvP? Also, should I use 9x Bowa Gcs or 37x 20 Lifers (9 of which are 3/20/20s)?

We never said that, the point is that a pvp-bowazon is different in terms of skills and gear then a pvm bowazon. Now, they aren't as good as they use to be, though unless some-one is using holyfreeze, they can make a match for most of the duelers.

skillers are useless for a amazon, you want to be use charms with max damage, life, res and frw. Try finding a combination that suits you.

correction, they're useless for a physical bowazon. for javas and FA zons they're still good.

i think that bowazons are great, but i also dont think the OP is doing what he says he is with the gear he's listed.

bowazons that rely on physical damage skills such as strafe, multi, and guided. non physical bowas are mainly FA, but magic arrow and the fire arrows are also representatives. a single 3max/ar/whatever small charm increases physical bowa's damage more than a skiller and you still have room for 2 more smalls.

I miss the original d2 where a cold zon pwned with a 4soc pemeralded bow. Those were the days.

-It's still the same as ever, they can pwn people yet they get pwned easy as well. Yay for glass cannonballs. But if you want to make one, do it. Sure you might lose to smiters but most builds do...

meh its fun cuz it is fun.
no other chars I have got the feeling that my faith bowazon give me. spamming, fast attacking and mass ctc, and ability to change gears somewhat to get completly different feeling altogether. (read mat-brand, mat-HoJ + dragon..kinda lame now tho with lag)
if I wanted to be uber at pvp, I wil make a hammer, nec, windy and pwn all..which is just boring no matter how effective. and if you want effective, well build some other char :p

So it sounds like to me that 3/20/20s are ideal for Guided Arrow Bowazon. Too bad so many will poof on ya...
