bonespear/teeth calculator bug?

    bonespear/teeth calculator bug?

    I am making a new necro and i used a calculator

    i am making a necro and i used a skill calcator 2 see some damage stats

    ok this is what i found from these exact stat stuff

    Bonesiprit
    lvl 20 bonespirit
    lvl 53 synenergy (+33 from marrowalks)
    +7 all skills
    +3 bonespirit
    I got about 2.3k damage

    Bonespear
    lvl 20 Bonespear \
    lvl 53 synenergy
    +7 all skills
    +3 bonespear
    I got about 1.8k damage

    Teeth
    lvl 20 teeth
    lvl 53 synenergy
    +7 all skills
    +3 teeth
    i got a huge damage of like 9k-12k

    i was just wondering is this the real damage of teeth or is the calculator messed up?

    if it is not can u plz tell me what it would be or give me some kind of formula 2 figure it out

    o btw plz tell me if this is good skill point allocation

    ARGGHHHH... :rant: ... The frustration sits in quickly.

    So many problems here, let me start from the top:

    1. Synergies do not give bonus's in 2 situations. +skills and +skills over base slvl 20.

    So what that means is that if you have say +19 skills, and a base of 1 for a synergy. Your synergy bonus will be calculated at 1, not 1+19=20. Get it? So if you have +7 p/b skills and max out (slvl 20) the synergies for teeth, then to properly get teeth's dmg you would:
    1. put up in calculator the lvl of the skill (slvl 27 for this example)
    2. put up 20 points into the synergies (slvl 20 is max)

    That would display the damage output of a skill.

    2. The only exception to this is with Marrowalk bug and necromancers. Let me elaborate....

    So if +skills don't work for synergy bonus's, then why does everyone love these boots? It's a bug. But the way it works, is that you MUST NOT PUT 1 POINT INTO BONE PRISON, because if you do, then you get 0 bonus from the boots.

    So saying you get a slvl 53 synergy is crap.

    3. Lets run through some numbers:

    slvl 27 Teeth (20 ea syn + 33 syn bonus from marrows) = 538 - 710 per "tooth"
    slvl 27 Bone Spear (20 ea syn +33 syn bonus from marrows) = 2298 - 2240 per spear
    slvl 27 Bone Spirit (20 ea syn +33 syn bonus from marrows) = 3099 - 3336 per spirit
    slvl 1 Bone armor (20 Bone wall + 33 syn bonus from marrows) = 815 damage absorbed


    Again these numbers take into account:
    1. slvl 27 to "X" Skill
    2. slvl 20 to synergies (slvl 20 is max, except marrows)
    3. uses marrowalk bug (no points placed into Bone Prison skill)

    As for your skill placement? Half hearted boner. Doctor's recommendation: Get viagra, or listen up!

    Go full on boner.

    20 Teeth
    1 Corpse Explosion
    20 Bone Spear
    20 Bone Spirit
    1 Bone Armor
    20 Bone Wall

    1 Clay Golem
    1 Golem Mastery
    1 Summon Resist

    1 Amp
    1 Weaken
    1 Terror
    1 Decrepify (can add more here)
    1 Dim Vision (can add more here)
    1 Confuse
    1 Attract

    With 1 into all misc. skills mentioned, this build can be done at clvl 80'ish (low 80's)depending on when you do your +skill quests.

    p.s.
    You can go boner / summoner, but your bone dmg output will be greatly reduced.

    I find building a character relying on equipment rather an unwise way to go. If blizzard decides that his Marrowalk bug is bringing unbalance in the game they will fix it rendering any bonemancer who utilizes it useless.

    True, your character will be done faster. True you'll have some more damage. I'm making a bonemancer at this moment and am putting my points happily in boneprison.

    I'd rather have a character that can hold his ground without being dependant on particulair gear.

    Just my personal opinion on the matter.

    Honestly, I do agree with you.

    But it's there. I don't PVP at all, so why not get the most bang for my buck? His character can have left over points, so he can dump them into BPrison if he so feels like it.

    The reason why I used Marrow as a reference point is that his posts included it. So his slvl 53 synergies, were obviously pointing out the use of marrowalks.
