What's the idea gear for a boner? Probably public dueling games.

75 or 125 fcr?
Max block?
White wand or just other?
Godly helm?
What scs, and what merc? Also what price is most the stuff. ty I'm trying out sc dueling for the first time~

Well, max vita is invaluable against casters, while max block puts you at a more-than-slight disadvantage against casters, especially since this is you first time dueling here. However, you NEED max block and 50% DR for BvC's to stand a good chance. I go for max vita, because I meet mostly casters. Here's my setup:

Shael'd Shako
Maras
2 Sojs
35 FCR Spirit
Mage Plate Enigma
Wizzy with 15 all res, 7? Str Jewel
Arach
Trangs Gloves
Hotspurs/Treks

I managed to get skillers with Dex and Str, so I put EVERY point into vita =D

2.6k life (with 6 BO CTA), no block, maxed res with a little bit of stack, 86 FHR breakpoint with a couple 5 fhr scs (essential for trappers/smiters/other stun chars), 125% FCR Breakpoint (Max, essential for sorcs and other necros).

so if 105 I can use a godly white, if not I can use hoto or wizzy..any more suggestions?

I'm still relatively new to the dueling arena but I think my advice can help a bit...

If you plan on doing public duels, I would recommend having max block as opposed to pure vita. I've only seen a few BvC and WWsins, but you still want to consider them in your gear. Also, block will help against bowazon's and the few times where a melee person can get close to you (for example, when the space is a bit limited due to other duels going on or in team duels).

The common shields for max block necro's seem to be Stormshield and Homunculus - I recommend you use both. Of course, you lose the 35 fcr from darkforce spawn which takes 'white' wands out of the picture as primary weapons.

I'm using sojs, not fcr rings. I'm gonna try the build first without max block and see how it goes. I've asked in the necr oforum, with 0 responses.

er w/o max block is a no no.... unless u plan on pvping casters 4ever... no block vs bvc or smiter or bowzon = dead necro....
yes u can say u keep on teleing with 125fcr so they cant catch u easily but with leap u = stun n = dead....
if u want to go block go with ss.... maybe homocus u can get to max block easier n lesser str but 35dr is required for melee...

iirc you can't block smite.

Blocking is useful against:
BvC/BvA
WW Sin
Bowzon
Fury WW
Zealot
Charger
Kicksin

Some of the chars above are good caster killers. And since the original poster said he was going to do mostly pubs, then max block is a must because chances are he'll run into those chars. Without max block it'll be very hard for him to survive pubs.

then I'd need help..if wizzy I'd need a nice 20 fcr ammy or ring+decent ammy

if ladder then no, i highly doubt you'll get your hands on one.

even on nl, it's hard to find. duped nl are very pricey as well.

i agree with this. look for 2 fcr rings preferably with str/dex. Res/life/mana are goos also. i'm currently rebuilding as max block. mainly to make life easier v's bowzons and chargers. any pally shift charging around has a good chance to catch you and hit you w/o block. haven't leveled enough to comment on any decreased effectiveness v's casters.

hmm i recommend going the damage and block build... 1 point into revive works well too i guess. or unless if u wanna be a pub BMer, u might wanna go summon/boner hybrid

I'm going Max block with SS, still working out the kinks in my armor, like gear for other builds..its so weird dueling sc, you lose nothing. loll.
