    Bnet Punishments???

If Bnet were to catch someone using a BOT what would the punishment be? Would it be a banned account and CDkey or what?
Would they ever just log on to your account and delete all your chars??? Cuz... I logged on today and... NOTHING there, I had six chars fully geared and a lot of time wasted apparently.

I haven't played in many years but if remember it correctly, If your CD Key is caught using a third party program your CD Key and accounts tied to it are banned/erased.

From what I gathered in the OP, you got what was coming.

    Re: Bnet Punishments???

They delete all ur chars, ban ur CD key, steal ur cookies, and stop you from clubbing baby seals.

For a real answer, you probably downloaded a key logger along with your bot. If you don't want not only your diablo accounts stolen, but also your bank accounts, e-mail accounts, and everything else robbed from you, stop using hacks.

Run an anti virus program twice on your computer (with different kinds if ya can) and then if you have typed in passwords to ANYTHING since you dl'ed ANY hack, check them. Call your credit card guys and banks (you probably won't have to do this you are most likely under 18) and make sure no one has been using your finances.

Seriously, don't download cheats for games, it isn't worth it. You can have your entire life ruined because of one simple click. (and no, I do NOT speak from personal experience so don't taunt me mercilessly)

    EDIT:

Agreed. Blizzard doesn't delete characters, they delete accounts. If caught breaking the EULA, they will most likely ban you account and if you do it again, or commit a more serious crime, they will ban your account AND you CD key. I seriously doubt that blizzard has the time to go around gaining g0dly itamz from every person their anti-cheat software catches.

Almost everyone who responds here will simply say "you got what you deserve" without answering the question. Although it is possible that B.Net realized you were using a 3rd party program and deleted your chars, that is unlikely as they would also ban your Account and/or CD-Key. Check again. If your chars are actually all gone, it is more likely that you somehow gave your account information to someone without realizing it or downloaded a program that directly allowed someone to hack into your account. Sorry to hear your loss.

ACE seems to know more about this than me.

Thanks for your answers (those of you who weren't smart asses) The thing is.. i DID spend time on the game and NOW i just don't have that time anymore. Working full-time, college full-time... kinda kills gaming time. The bot was new the 2nd day I had been running it.

You got hacked by downloading from a bad source lol. You may want to get some anti virus as mentioned above.
Battle.net does not log on to your account when they catch you hacking.
They DELETE and ban your account/cdkey

    Re: Bnet Punishments???

I think this is what happened:

You downloaded a bot off some shady hax-site and didn't check it for virusses. There was a keylogger on board which not only grabbed your diablo account password but your porn account passwords too. Someone checked your account every time you weren't playing to see if your bot found some nice gear. Once you had 6 characters with perfect gear, BAM!, all your stuff got muled over to xXxScr!p']['K1ddi3xXx's account and all your characters were deleted.

Ah well, you can always download a 'Den of Evil'-bot to start looking for your first cracked sash and work your way up to that elusive perfect Tyrael's again.

Do not post sources on illegal software, bots, maphacks, whatever, on these Forums. If you still can, edit your post.

Also, to support other members: you got what you deserved. Time, no time, you have to INVEST in the game, this is what it's about. I do have university to attend to, but that does not mean I cannot devote some of my time to playing D2. Besides, if you don't even play it, what's the point?

I don't think you understand exactly what I, as well as some others, are saying.

    You got your account stolen.

You tried to dabble in cheating without having an ounce of knowledge or common sense (kind of goes hand in hand with cheating) and got what was coming to you (an empty account).

Please stop telling us that we are wrong because we are NOT. This is not like your previous [nub site] forum. Honestly, I am not entirely sure why you decided to join these forums just to act perplexed at how breaking the games laws led to retributions.

If you wish to redeam yourself and clean up your act, read over the stickies at the top of each forum section and start playing legitimately. If you decide to change for the better, then welcome to the forums. If not, then goodbye.
