    Blue Rings?

Does anyone picks up those blue rings?
What useful mods can spawn on them (to beat rares and uniques?)
I can imagine only Fortitous ring of luck (40%MF) . Does someone knows the odds for rings having both these affixes?

BTW: I still pick them up and hope...

I pick them up, mostly because that one square sells for a little bit (low level characters especially), and the hope that I spawn a sweet dual-leecher (8/6 is the best a blue can do).

AFAIK both leeching affixes are suffixes thus they can't spawn both on one ring. :(

I generally dont pick them up, but I did get something like 6%ll and 8 res all on one

there really arent any blue rings that are better than uniques or rares except for 40mf ones

I've got a 20 res all 15 hp ring on a druid. You could get 20 res all 80 hp or something I guess.

True. Well, there is my justification for picking up rares.

Anyway, I really don't use blue rings past about clvl 12, when angelics kick in (AR based chars here, or melee moving to caster, i.e. hammerdins) or clvl 11 (or 12?) when Cathan's comes in for sorcs.

The ONLY blue that I use, is my perfect +120 mana/10% FCR ring on my charged boltress who still needs a griffons eye.

I pick them up. I can never have enough Bahamut's Rings, as I am SoJ-less and the boost in mana is necessary for quite a few of my chars.

AFAIK 15 res all is max on blue rings, 10 is max on yellow rings.
EDIT: Oh and 40 to life is max too? Is it 1.09 ring?

I pick up all jewellry, but io dont know why. i guess because they have uses for low/mid level characters yet to find a couple of good rare rings, and in the early game in a compulsive money grabbing freak, i'll pick up all gold, all jewelry, all rares and all charms, even if i know before ID'ing them that they will be sold. by the tiem i get to hell i usually have filled my stash and inventory to the max, then either send it off to ATMA bank or gamble a million or 2 away.

It depends on the character I'm playing, with my untwinked characters I allways pick up every ring and amulet I find. Some of the mods are too great to miss, just because you deceided to leave it on the ground. With my sc MF'er I don't pick up the blue or green ones. Offcourse they can spawn well enough, but I have several rare rings and uniques that can beat pretty much any blue ring. :)

I'm with you Doug...also a good resist ring is nothing to sneeze at...Of course with rares being boosted so much magical items are pretty crappy now, still if you don't have a SOJ or Ravenfrost, and that godly rare has eluded you then you take what you can get.

    Fortuitous Ring of Precision
    Required Level: 48
    Item Version: 1.10 Expansion
    Item Level: 91
    Fingerprint: 0x28d56be1
    +15 to Dexterity
11% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items

Ring I used for a while when I realized that after swapping certain gear for better MF % that my blocking went to hell. Not a bad ring, but I wouldn't mind the MF to be a little higher.

I admit to picking just about all magic items and definitely all rings and amulets. one slot that gives at least 1k for gambling.

As to using them, well usually not and they are long gone by level 2o. However, my lvl 86 trapper still has two blue Bahamut's Rings for a total of 200+ mana.

You should be able to get 45% Fire Resistance, rares spawn with 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes.

I don't think anyone else has pointed this out, but you can use rings to cube a decent ammy. I pick up rings and cube them with my level 92 trapper, and get some decent skill ammmys...a few worth mentioning:

    +2 Sorc skills, 16% MF
    +3 Shapeshifting Skills, +87 Life
    +3 Shapeshifting Skills, +16 Strength

    What he said.
That's what I do with em.

Then take the crappy ammy's turn em back into rings, and so on.
So I pick em all up. Can't help it, it's ingrained.

I cube them. I've also been playing HC/untwinked of late and it's refreshing not to have 99% of the items in the game worthless. Some of the rings you find are actually quite useful.
