Several posters on here have declared that combo dead. Thorns and Iron Maiden no longer work the way the way they used to because Blizzard altered the monsters to have more life in Hell than to deal a lot of damage. Hence, the damage returned to the monster hitting your blood golem isn't high enough to kill the monster very quickly or all that effectively.

Others know more about this, but the short answer to your question is that those two still work with a blood golem but not nearly as well as they used to.

It takes some time for news to get all the way up to the arreat summit, they ancients there haven't even realized that they can get hit mid-leap attack, causing them to no longer be able to leap attack again, farewell bunny barbs...

jmprock, I believe what he meant is the combo that Iron Maiden/Thorns had with Blood Golem where the Blood Golem would leach from the damage returned, making an invincible blood golem, and hence, an invincible player, b/c you would gain 20% of the life the blood golem gained, and all of the life overflow. You could stand in a crowd of IMed hell cows NAKED with a blood golem and kill them all eventually, without dying yourself.

 lmao...answering a barbarian question in the necro forum, it's pretty well known that when you get hit mid-leap it bugs the game and you won't be able to leap again until you restart it. Since this isn't the barb forum let me direct you to some other posts about this topic:
