Block Rate > Hit Recov?

So you block 3/4 hits, so it would only make sense block rate would be a more important frame to speed up than hit recovery, yes? This is assuming melee encounters granted, but I never really see people worry about block speed, and often wonder why. =]

Not very many things can help with block rate.

Also the majority of skills that cause fhr problems (mindblast, bonespear, leap... etc) are unblockable.

^ he got the majority of it right.

Also after 09 they added a sort of "cool down" period to block animation (since back then blocklock pretty much meant inevitable death), making fbr useless for the most part other than the initial animation of course ~_~.

What if you duel a caster? Block is useless... try to find to best balance btw block and fhr and life

right as I said initially this was assuming a melee encounter. I know block rate has no effect vs a caster unless you are a claw claw sin =] That said I asked because people go all out for a fhr bp, but shaeling an SS seems to jump you up one full frame with one socket, but I never see it done. I had figured it was an oversight, since SS is used for melee's either way. But I suppose if they added in a cooldown period to the animation itself, that does nullify the need for fbr all together. Thanks :D
