So as i said no release DATE yet. Everybody knows blizz does release windows. Which i said late this year probably 4 th quarter im looking at a nov release.

yeah, sc is a simple freakin program for a company worth billions.
If they wait any longer for either they lose a lot of customers. Already I am betting the quantity of people who would play starcraft2 has dropped like a stone. There's only so long you can take before a nostalgia crowd has no time for such things anymore.

Without reading the rest of the topic...
D3 = Q4 2010. SC2 was announced at WWI 2007 and comes out 2 years later. D3 @ WWI 2008, should come out 2 years later.
Before you say that D3 would take longer to develop, keep in mind that SC2 has to make a lengthy Singleplayer mode with plenty of custom sounds and units, and the multiplayer will take a ridiculous amount of balance tweaking. I feel confident in Blizzard to give us D3 in a timely manner. They said themselves they've got the engine down and are just building content right now, and that there is a LOT they haven't shown to the public.

We also don't know that they're taking a 4-Act approach to Diablo 3, that's just something we're assuming. So to say that half a year ago they were just wrapping up Act 1, well, that doesn't necessarily mean they were 25% done with the game.

Whoa, being only my first/second thread I didn't think it would grow this much.
Thanks go out to everyone for chipping in with their own info or assumptions. Gotta say many were uplifting, whereas that link was awfully depressing for me, yikes.
I do have to point out though, that I do NOT consider any stupid SC expansions to even be close to being a "major title". Expansion vs D3.......who bludgeons who here? All the witchdoctor gotta do is wave his hand and spam wall of zombies and then all the lil spacecraft go crashing into it and tumbling down into nothing........hmm I would like to see Diablo vs Warcraft/Starcraft one day. Where you get to select from many more "classes", including a Prime Evil itself lol. It's all co bros.
Gotta also say, DragonChi, you nailed it, I'll give ya 5 more cents if you got more of that!!
And indeed, Blizzboys said that D3 will be at least as long as D2 was, as in 4 acts in the beginning and an extra act (or two) in the future expansion/s.
On a final note, I do believe that D3 is closer to completion than they're letting on, it's the sneaky hype approach. Just when you thought all hope was lost, whammo they whack you with a major announcement........and I do mean MAJOR!!!
