Blizzard Sorc with ES & Max Block

So what do you guys think:

Max Blizzard and Synergies.
1 point into Cold Mastery
1 point into ES

Dex enough to have max block.
Str. = you know.
Energy = None.
Vit = the rest here.

So basically, its just having a blizzard sorc with max block but also with 1 point into energy shield.

Theory: The sorc will only be hit 25% of the time with max block. Out of the 25%, the sorc will be able to absorb some of the damage taken into her mana. Therefore, it'll kind of be like a buffer before hitting into her raw health.

With perhaps an infinity (is this the one with mediation?) merc, she'll be good to go?


The reason why I'm going this path is because i accidentally put one point into thunder and I was already lvl 25. I don't have any enchant friends so starting over would have been a hugee pain in the ***.

I'm untwinked so far, but hopefully I'll be able to MF at hell andy and meph for some decent equips.

Any helpful input would be great.

Looks like a run-of-the-mill Blizz sorc to me, but I'm hardly an expert on these things. However, you want *Insight* as the weapon, not infinity. Insight has meditation, and is far easier to make (legit). :)

Beyond that, I would tell you to Max those synergies and get a few points into Cold Mastery (beyond the first, and much later on) to get some real bang outta the sorc!

Well, If i were you i'd make some stabilization between
Life and mana
Blizzard damage and ES points/teleknesis points.

Don't forget, your sorc will only be hit 25% of the time by Physical attacks. Elementals are gonna hit you alot, and since ES takes it at 0 res, your mana's gonna go fast without points in TK and ES will break.

I wouldn't even bother using ES if you're not going to dump any points in TK. It's just too inefficient. You probably won't miss that last Blizzard synergy anyway.

No synergies to 1 synergy maxed = 100% increased damage
1 synergy maxed to 2 synergies maxed = 50% increased damage
2 synergies maxed to 3 synergies maxed = 33% increased damage
and so on...

Also, your Cold Mastery needs to be at least slvl 17 (unless you'll be running an 'Infinity' Merc, but I'm pretty sure you meant 'Insight'). Less is unacceptable; more is not necessarily a bad idea.
