Blizzard Diablo 3 2.4.1 cosmetic items preview

Now that the Diablo 3 2.4.1 patch has been in testing for a while now, Blizzard is getting close to releasing it into the wild. A new preview post has been posted by Blizzard focusing on cosmetic items such as Transmog items, pets, and some extra rewards.

New Transmogrification Items

We know some of you enjoy effortlessly slaughtering demons. . . and looking damn(ed) fine while you do so. To ensure your ensembles don’t grow stale, we’ve added several new transmogrification patterns in the form of common-quality items that drop off of named entities or rare chests scattered across the world of Sanctuary.

Just a sample of what’s to come. Can you guess which one’s my favorite?

Some of these items will be found in the bounty-ridden realms of Adventure Mode while others can drop off of specific Rift Guardians. Get ready to get hunting!
New Pets

Only a small number of non-combat pets have previously been made available to Diablo III players, and many of them have only been obtainable through special promotions or Seasonal rewards. Everyone deserves a chance for a new friend, so we’ve introduced our own to provide some curious new companions to those who track him down.

Find and defeat this little guy and he’ll leave behind one of his treasured companions; so long as it’s a pet you haven’t yet acquired (and you haven’t caught them all), it will be guaranteed to be a new one!

Some of these are a little more… terrifying than others.

Extra Rewards for the Extra Diligent

A few extra-rare rewards have been sprinkled across Sanctuary. Some are rarer than others, but they’ll all present some challenge to track down. Know that only the most dedicated nephalem are destined to rock these special cosmetic items!

From whimsical to stunning, there are cosmetics for all tastes!

Are you a cosmetic collector? Do you revel in tweaking your transmog before wading into battle? Which of these collectables are you most looking forward to tracking down? Let us know in the comments and we’ll see your stylish selves in Season 6!

I remember when something new was going to be added to a game, I knew nothing of what was awaiting me. Nowadays, you're so over-informed about future content it's unfortunately more of a commodity than a novelty when you first experience it.
I will run around with a rainbow character frame, deal with it ;)

"I will run around with a rainbow character frame"
**** yeah! That & a hand running around collecting all the gold for me.

I also care about this "shit". I would expect more of this in each season as the studio works to build a new team for D4. Cosmetics and achievements to keep the players engaged while the bulk of resources go toward a D4 with real itemization (hopefully!)

Count me in for caring for this shit. Apparently there are some people who are not jaded, bitter D2 veterans longing for old days of glory and 800X600 resolution. ;)
As I wrote under orginal post: I wish they included transmogs for old white items like Splintered Oar, Clipper, Rakanishu's Blade and Wirt's Orginal Leg.

Yeah you are right. They are probably going to keep working on seasonal content for free instead of building a new team to make a sequel to a game that moved over 30 million copies. No evidence of new job postings either.

You can't really see it on the picture but the scythe Transmog is basically Reaper's Toll from D2.

I would be fine with this new content if they would allow everyone (season and non season) to get another stash tab. This content is the good stuff that should be season only not stash tabs because cosmetic items do not alter game play whereas stash space certainly does. Common Bliz make the right decision here!
