Finally, Blizzard have an announcement about PvP.
I don't know about you guys, but I simply cannot wait for RoS.
Ok guys. We have heard you. We understand that PvP is something you, the players, have asked for time and time again. And we think its high time we delivered. There is no better feeling than bashing your fellow player's heads in from time to time and getting rewarded for it, so with that in mind, we would like to introduce the latest feature for Diablo 3 RoS...........
Secondary Affix Categories! Now you can more easily ignore the useless affixes that we refuse to improve WITHOUT the drudgery of having to look through one continuous category of stats. The useless affixes that everybody doesn't care about are now conveniently placed in their own little category at the bottom of the item tooltip for you to safely ignore.
This new category will be labeled "Secondary Affixes". We initially wanted to call it "The ****ty affixes no one cares about" but when it underwent testing we found that it caused a lot of confusion amongst players, as pretty much all of the affixes we designed would fit in this category in some way or the other.
We will closely monitor these much anticipated changes to PvP and ensure that it is as fun and rewarding as possible, and cohesively fits and supports the Diablo experience.
Player feedback is always something the development team takes very seriously, and this is another example of how player feedback shapes the design decisions that the development team take. Well done guys, and please keep the feedback coming!
