Was anyone playing Hardcore on USEast back in the very very very early days of D2? I recently found this pic of the USEast HC ladder from late Sept 2000.

That's my dead Zon at #8. She was a jabber- it took a month to jab to level 78 because, as some of you may recall, ther were no lances at the time. IIRC, she had a 40-160 cold dmg pike =) Notice the lack of other high level zons- there was a bug with bow damage back then.

SS-Sedecra (dead at #42) was the first hammerdin I ever saw. All other Paladins at the time were conversion/thorns. Necs dominated with Blood Golem/IM and revives. This was 1.04, after CE and WW had been nerfed.

Abyss Knights + lag spike in City of the Damned (I was alone at the time). It's been almost 7 years and I can still very clearly recall the exact moment. Squisher (26th on ladder in pic) was leveling in the Chaos Sanctuary and looted me. Back then, you couldn't talk when you were dead so I remember it took him a while to find me.

Oh I remember those times.

The original game, no patch, was incredible for Necros and Barbs.

WW hit every single frame, and corpse explosion scaled with players in the game, meaning with amp, 1 body = full dead screen of guys. That's why on the Arreat Summit on Battle.net, the skill is described as "The Best Skill of All Time" by Blizzard employees.
