Wow, that cup is ugly! OTOH, you can pour a lot of beer into it.
Do they still play that terrible organ music?
Those granny sounds are there until the nukes hit, I'm afraid.
they should just pipe in the music from the old Genesis games
The play newer music on the organs. it sounds kinda cool actually. I recognized a couple of my bro's tunes during the game.
It's usually OK if the fans are singing and beyond that, they can play music during the breaks, but not during the game.
It has become popular among a few football clubs here to play music after a goal of the home team. Embarrassing!
American Football has a lot more stoppage of play. We play music between plays, in between quarters, and even right up to when they hike the ball. A lot of it is taunting the other team or cheering the home team on. This is why home teams are considered to have an advantage.
For instance, the Bears (my team), call their fan base the "fourth phase" (the three phases are offense, defense and special teams), and encourages fans to participate in chants, organized stomping, or just straight up making noise when the other team is trying to organize their offense.
You might say, it's a whole different ballgame.
Well OK, that's why they play it, but I still think that music during a game sucks. If a sports is boring without music, then you better change something about the sports instead of adding something unrelated IMO. Perhaps people on TV will see ads during the breaks while the people in the arena hear that music?
BTW, there's no music during the stoppage of play in a chess tournament as well .
chess doesn't have gaps between activity, chess is the gap between activity, if they wanted to liven it up they could never stop playing
I happily agree.
