Black rune word question

I wanna make a Black runeword in a Scourge.

Will that word work in that type of weapon.

I once tried to make a Steele in a flail but it didnt work, I researched a little more and it had an * that says it only works in "Maces" not Mace-class weapons.

I just dont wanna waste my runes.

Thul + Io + Nef in that order will work in a scourge.

The knockback is quite annoying though... and the stats requirements for a scourge is high, so you'll probably be better off with "Honor" (Amn + El + Ith + Tir + Sol) in any melee weapon.

Yes, 'Black' will work in a Scourge.
In an earlier Tankazon tourney, my character used a 'Black' Knout for the entire Hell difficulty. She didn´t fight much herself (Valk and merc did that so well) but when she did, that CB was awesome, and the CE charges were really great in some areas.


'Steel' should work in a Flail! I have made dozens of them. It´s my standard weapon in act 2 Normal. "Maces" in runeword lists include the weapon types Mace, Morning Star and Flail, and their exceptional/elite equivalents.

Honor is a nice and cheap runeword, but I bet he's interested in the Black runeword because of the huge amount of Crushing Blow .

Ya I am after the CB. I am making a Ghetto Uber Bros killer.

Build is basically:

Lion Heart Scarab Husk
Sword Backhold
Black Scourge
Deaths Sash
LOH
Goblin Toe
Anglics

A but ton of life and resist charms and a few str to help with usin the scourge. I have my Dex and Str to their base values already though to use 733t gear but HOZ, Gores, Tgods, Duress Archon,High Lords.

With some luck this should work just as well at least ONCE for me to get a torch to trade for anythin I want really.
