Best weapon for killing Act Bosses (WW). Crushing Blow.

What is best weapon type for killing Act Bosses (Diablo, Baal) in Hell 8 player games? Assume that I'm using Whirlwind (WW).
Because Breath of the Dying in Great Poleaxe looks cool, but maces have usually great chance of crushing blow - which can be much more efficient than bigger weapon damage.
Crushing blow looks like static.
But static has one limitation:
Static Field will not take a monster below 33% health in Nightmare and 50% in Hell. (taken from Arreat summit)
Is there similar limitation with crushing blow?

AFAIK from my exp & since strategy comp & AS dont speak of such limitation with CB,I believe that isnt the case. However, unlike static,CB removes a percentage of REMAINING life.So the initial triggers removes more & subsequent triggers remove less & lesser......The life removed by cb is also reduced by positive physical resists.

Effect of number of players:

Crushing Blow does not scale with the amount of players. In 1.10, the game first calculates the Crushing blow in relation to the target's current life and then divides the CB amount by the correlating number (See the Player's Table found on RTB's Post). E.g: 8 players would be 450%. So the damage would be divided by 4.5.
Yes CB is still effective against bosses, but only to to loosen them up,It cant substitute weapon dmg & it is something that can be stacked from off weapon sources.Guillaumes face, goblin toe, duress, rends to name a few.Its easy to amass ~75% CB even if your weapon doesnt pack any.

If you really are into CB,then an eth upped hone yari with 3xshaels is the right weapon for you.A mix of high weapon dmg & 40% cb.

Static field also removes a % of their remaining life. Otherwise 4 casts in normal would mean dead monster. :D Which isn't the case. First time it's 25% , then it's 18.75% (25% from 75%) , then 14% , etc etc. And static field is also affected by lightning resist. So it resembles CB by just about everything.

Well after 50% CB does less and less , only against high life monsters you'll notice it there. But every little extra dmg is nice I guess. Unless you need to sacrifice other equipment for it.

additionally IIRC static doesn't trigger during WW, while CB does.
