Best Twinkish Weapon For Tomb Runs? (15-20)

I want something that I can use on any char I make. I'll be using Sigons so it can have a Str req up to 75.

One handed would be best so I can use Sigon shield.

Currently I'm using a 6os Crystal Sword with 6xPTopaz so 1-240 lightning damage on hit.

But I'm thinking maybe 2xPTopaz 2xPEmerald 2xPDiamond might be better, or maybe even 3xPtopaz 3xPTopaz

I was thinking 6xPEmerald but that might be overkill on the Poison damage.

Maybe there's even some better low-levelish runewords out there.

Let me know what you guys think.

A repeating crossbow full of ptopazes? It's faster and ranged i think, but i think it only can get 5 sockets.

Can't you one-hit kill with the crystal sword already? I've never used one, so I don't know. Maybe 6 Prubies would heighten the minimum damage, even though the average damage would be lowered, but I think it will still be overkill?

Perfect gems are level 18, so putting those in a weapon intended for level 15-20 sort of defeats the point of having that weapon.

If you want that shield of yours equipped, a +23 Max damage Civerb's Cudgel socketed with a +14 Max damage is absolutely menacing. At level 15, with 75 Strength, this sucker would dish out 68 damage per hit, becoming better for each level. Another option is of course a Crystal Sword with 6 Flawless Topazes in it, which would average 111 damage, and would one-hit most things.

Supreme of them all however, is an enchanted Raven Claw. This is the God of low level experience twinking, and its level requirement, funnily enough, is 15.

I completely agree with Alash.

You can get from level 14-24 in ~15 minutes doing enchanted tomb runs (untill level 21) and then clearing the cow level to hit 24 (watch out for king).

I had a pure enchantress built for it, so it had sick damage. An enchant from demon limb (lvl 23) would provide 99 average damage, and well over 240 if you had a sorc with fire mastery do the enchanting.

So the meteor-orb you built as your first character on ladder (but never play anymore) would get used again!

Is it really that good? You wouldn't think so immediately looking at the stats, although that "fires explosive arrows" looks like it has a lot of potential. I'll have to give it a shot some time.

I've always like using some of the lower level sets for twinking. My current favorite is arctic set (I soloed up to RoF with it on, but was to afraid to try a chaos run), but I remember having a lot of success with complete death's set, partial cathan's set, and sigon shield+boots. The shield and the war sword were socketed with -15% req jewels for even better twinking. The amount of elemental damage you get with those sets is pretty crazy, not to mention the huge amount of life steal you get.

An enchanted Raven Claw is absolutely in a league of its own. No other twinking setup remotely compares to it, but you need to be enchanted or else it's useless. Any ranged weapon with explosive effect works for this (e.g. Kuko Shakaku), but the treat about Raven Claw is that it only requires level 15. Add on top of that Sigons Gloves/Belt for the 30% IAS, and you're a killing machine.

a well-enchanted Raven Claw basically turns every character into a mid-level fireball sorc, since it applies the enchant damage to everything in the AoE.

I was looking through all the sets for the best possible setup with it a few weeks back on a whim, since you cant use full sigons of course with it, and I figured sigon gloves+armor+helm for IAS, AR, LL, str and def, angelic ring x2 + ammy for the AR and life, and hsarus boots and belt for def and even more AR. Plus you can equip the hsarus ones at L3, unlike Sigons that you need L6 or higher if you dont have low-lvl str GCs. You should be able to hit everything reliably with your arrows, and have enough def not to get insta-killed if you get swarmed. You wont need mana leech unless you're a zon using a skill, in which case Tir the Raven...otherwise flawless amethyst for more AR, since the higher your AR the quicker you blow everything up, or a Tir for some mana after each kill, if you're using mana for anything.

Civ's cudgel is the king of twink weapons under 15...socket it with a flawed skull, for my money, for a little mana (and life) leech so you can use your low-level attacks till you hit 15 for the Raven.

Even before level 15, any white weapon+enchantress is better than anything you can pull-off with lowlevel twink weapons.

Another greatly underestimated set is Isenharts. Put in the hands of any Paladin/Barbarian/Druid at level 8 this set provides swift travel, consistent damage and mitigation beyond what's realistic. At level 8, of the 5-10% times you're hit, you will block 75%, and 26 @ Res will help reduce whatever spells Rakanitsu and company throw at you. As a sidekick, all four item slots can be socketed, leaving for a wide range of customization (I'd say +51 Life is somewhat much at that level, or you could go for 36 to maximum damage which is quite a boost as well). On top of this add Sigons Belt/Gloves/Boots, and at level 11 and 12 add Cathan's Seal and Angelic Ring/Amulet, by which point you're sitting on 21% Life Leech.

Those poison jools (20 poison over 2sec) are nice too, 2 in helmet, 2 in armor, 3 in bow x2 (as same setup for rogue merc too).

Death belt+Death gloves, Cow king boots,Angelic amu,ring, cathan ring+cathan helmet,Raven claw(flawless ruby) and Twitchthroe armor.
Gives 50 ias, cannot be frozen, 50-71 fire added to Raven claw (enough to kill without enchant even in full games) 30run and you don't have to use any stats points.

You can use +fire charms or +fire circlet to even boost damage. Or replace king boots damage from these, and those boots are rare.

And explosion is auto-hit, so no ar needed, that angelic amu+ring just gives nice +95 life boost, so you can play more aggressively with bow.

Raven Claw's power comes from the explosions. Explosions carry enchant damage. A 1.10+ Raven Claw fires lvl 3 explosive arrows, which don't do much unless the character is enchanted or has another source of good fire damage, like the Holy Fire Aura. A 1.07-1.09 Raven Claw, when brought forward to 1.10+, fires level 33 explosive arrows, which are great. In single-player, a 1.09 Raven Claw is a standard wonderful tool for rapid levelling.

3os Mask w/3 Jewels of Envy + 3os Breast Plate w/3 Jewels of Envy + Hunter's Bow + Twitchthroe and a merc with the same

or

6os Great Maul with Jewels of Freedom and secondary mods (>=15% Max Damage) + Sigon's Belt/Boots/Gloves + Angelic Wings/Halo/Halo/Mantle

Both of these set up can be used for every new character you make until A4 and should be one hit kills on 90% of the monsters you face. They are nice and reuseable without having to invest many/any stat points. The latter has great MF%.

For characters that have some actual ED%, a 6-ith weapon is very nice at low levels; +54 max damage, and you can actually leech with it.

If you're rich, you can also use LLD jewels like +9 max (lvl8 req) or +15 max (lvl 18). I've never tried this yet, although I'm finding enough of these jewels, I will probably try socketing a superior 6 socket crystal sword at some point.

And WOW at that lvl 33 exploding arrow raven claw. It's too bad I never got a hand on one of those in my 1.09 days, sounds like you could have a blast with one of those.

Still, if you enchant a ravenclaw holder you wont notice a difference vs a2/a3 enemies

Nobody uses khalim's will? I use that on my characters before they reach level 15 for ravenclaw. Sometimes if I'm lazy, I use the Hellforge Hammer. I have a high level enchanter at all times to help out.

Get yourself a Khalims will - any char can equip it, and enchant your char and you are set! Its very very fast - me likei! :)

Personally I prefer a bow (+Death's) when enchanted. It saves you the trouble of chasing down monsters.

I like angelic set for twinking lower. the AR bonus is immense, and the sickle is pretty impressive as it has +350% dmg to undead, which is just about everything in the tombs. socket it with a max dmg jool.
