best shield for my zon

So i have a hybrid zon with faith gm and a non upped non eth titans.
my attacks are LF CS/ GA MS
ill be doing mostly PvM but i will try my hand at PvP now and then
just for ****s and giggles
im wondering what the best shield would be...
Here are the choices.
pheonix monarch

light facet superior monarch

or ss
(and with ss what should i put in the socket?)

also
wondering what the best armor choice is
my options are
fort/haubrak
coh/ap
enigma/ap

Javazons isnt my fav zons but for shield a high block one with some resists are the best choice(sanctuary is a good option too), for armor a hybrid will benefit more from coh mods(skills for java and added dmg to bow side).How much str the zon have atm?

Since your gear must ensure sufficient resists on both weapon switches, and 'Faith' provides 15% to all, you probably seek a similar amount on your shield.

ad faceted shield:
Don't use a superior monarch (grey item) for the facets! A Jeweler's Monarch of Deflecting (blue) is the only one worthy of precious lightning facets (both being pretty rare). You'll have to stack the resists though, since you don't wish to "spoil" such a masterpiece with a PDiamond just to cover the resists.

The other options include Moser's Blessed Circle (2os), or Head Hunter's Glory (3os), e.g. if you have some "lower" facets to start with.

In PvM, SS is more suited for javazons, since the hybrids usually keep their distance. However, if you feel like engaging in melee, you can try it. A rare jewel with both fire and poison resists, plus some other useful mods would be the top choice here :wink3:

'Spirit' is imo superior, unless your "bonuses" include str charms or generally any items used mainly for the str.

You will probably need a good bunch of resists on your armor, which promptly disqualifies 'Enigma'. Tal's is a nice MF armor despite the lack of +skills, otherwise stick with 'Fortitude' for the massive damage bonus to your physical attacks.

phoenix - the mana region is god, you cant go wrong with this choice.
spirit - easy and cheap on lad that is
(these r idea...pvm is a joke u could use a buckler if u really wanted to)

PVP

Faceted JMOD - JMODs r over priced and ...the deflecting is pretty useless. If anything melee aside form a zealer is hitting u, u will die without the pdr.

Stormshield - Awesome shield. If you have not considered this for pvp you really should.

I really hate phoenix for pvm. The CtC firestorm causes a casting delay, blocking you from casting LF. (just like FoH on TGods, except it's a 40% chance instead of a 5% chance) I tried using Phoenix for a while on my java and eventually went back to a SS socketed with a light facet. Mainly because I had one lying around, the facet isn't really needed in pvm.

For PVM you probably can't beat spirit, unless you get hit a lot and need the DR from SS.

For PVP I'd definitely go with SS. Um if you need resists, a Ber if your crazy and need DR, a facet if you need the -res or damage.
