Best Rune for Tal's Set

I am playing a Cold Sorc with a full Tal's Set.

What is the best rune if I only have one socket in
Helm?
Armour?
Weapon?

If you're talking about MF, most people ptopaz the helm and armour and ist the weapon.

If you're talking about general play, cold facets would be the way to go I guess. You could socket the armour or helm with an um if you're low on resists or pruby/jah them if you need extra life, although I wouldn't feel to comfortable using a jah in a piece of the tal set

Well, I cant think of any other than um. However, if you are really rich and use stormshield on ur tal-sorc. You might want to consider 2*Ber (one in helm and one in amror) to reach the 50% cap.
In the weapon, I dont think you should socket it with any rune, maybe ist if you're MFing, but there are lots of better weaps for MFing than tals. :uhhuh:
Maybe a 15% res all jewel or a cold facet would fit in weap (I know, they're not runes, but I cant think of any rune to socket a sorc orb with.)

Why, why, why, would someone socket Tal's Set with an UM Rune?
With a Pdiamond in a Shield, some rare boots with resists, frw and mf and a medium Annihilius you have maxed reisistances already.

Since FHR is a nice thing to have and Tal's already offer FHR, i would socket the Helmet and Armor with a Shael for a complete 65% FHR.

Io,Lum,Ko or Fal into the Orb.

Apart from runes, 3x +5%/-x% cold facets would be ideal. Together with Tal'S that would add 30% cold damage! and another -15% cold resistance, which you will hardly need though.

I havn't got max resists on my sorc and need an 18% resists anni to achive them. I think socketing the armour with an um rune for me would be the cheaper way of getting max resists than buying an anni, since I would only need a few small charms to get max resists after socketing.

Yes. Some resists are of a problem. Not if you're using moser, and only a little when you use storm.

With Storm you'll have (not counting poison) 30anya + 50set + 40armor + 15mask = 135 resall. Storm & Tal amu take care of cold and lightning, too, so the only one I have to gain from charms in my inventory is 40 fire res.
