Best rune find?

Kijya: It was for a PvP bowazon. lvl.12 Fana meant there was no way I could use Fortitude, hit 7fpa, AND have Knockback. Or use my rare boots :sad:

hehe, true, but if you ask me it's worth the risk, might still work out fine, and if you really do get the worst roll you *can* still use it on a pvm strafer :azn:

I found a Pul just the other day, after being back for 3-4 weeks. Quite a few mid-level runes (11-20) during this time...

IIRC in the old days, highest I ever saw was a Gul from the forge...

My highest from a forge would be a mal rune during a hell rush, but the person i was rushing stole the mal, so during a hellforge its just a gul rune. Best countess drop is an um..

2 ists here. One in Chaos Sanctuary and on at Andariels, but I dont think it was her that dropped it.

back in .09 I found a jah. This season I found an ohm @ the countess, although one of the creatures around her dropped it. And in a 6 player game a cham dropped. A sorc picked it up but here inv. was full, luckely for me

The ohm i traded for 2 ist (aargh, I was stupid back then) and the cham is gathering dust on my assa

Yea, they can buy new, faster, better, more shiny servers. As that is what the whole dupe thingy is, crashing the servers. Atleast last time i checked... But lets face it. They wont do it. If they do, ill eat my hat.

Lately I've had quite a few lucky hr drops. A random zombie in Worldstone Keep lvl 1 dropped a cham, bremm dropped a ber, eldritch dropped a Lo & I had a sur drop somewhere in the cow level. All within 1 week, no less!

I found a sur early in the season while I walked to Baal with my dreamer, even from the first monster encountered. Was I happy I wasn't such a lazy bum in town spamming 'tp plz'!

A friend ,about 10 months ago, was leveling/playing his fishymancer through hell. In the underground passage between stony field and dark wood, he meets two champion zombies. He kills the first,vex drops. He kills the second,ohm drops.

Nuff said.

Only hr I've ever gotten on ladder was an Ist from Hell hellforge, so that doesn't count, I guess.

In SP, though, I've gotten Ber and Vex drop from monsters. Quite funny; when I had the Vex dropped, a friend of mine was desperately looking for one on ladder, haha!

i have had 2 hrs drop on me,cham in public dia game, i snatched it from all chars, they where mad, and i was mfing (ME !?) and i found a Sur rune :grin:

I've personally picked up 4+ Ums, 1 Vex, 1 Ohm, 1 Ber. I've witnessed many hr's drop, but was never in the right position to grab it first in the pub games.

I found 2 Mals, one from Countess and the second one from a Sharman in the Tamoe Highlands, both this season.

Ha, so after about 3 years of playing diablo(started back when it came out, took a break, got back another break, and now im back) i finally got my first legit hr drop from monsters. Yesterday, while doing a hell cow run with my new hdin for the first time, an ohm rune dropped. I was pretty surprised that a hr dropped... So, to get to the point, whats your best higher rune or rune that you got of monsters?

also multiple ists, mals, guls - some from monsters and some from the hellforge quests :smiley:

Well to date I have found at least 1 of every rune up to Ber and multiples of some. 3vex several mal/LO, 2sur and 1 of the rest. On the other hand I have cubbed to zod. So dont give up folks it can happen. Save those EL runes.

I made some countess runs some time ago and found Um. Then made next game
and got Ist. Then in the next game I also got Ist ! I was like wtf since it never wasn't actually countess who dropped these.. They were some random monsters
on my way to her..:shocked:

2 Gul, 1 Mal, 3 Um, 1 Vex, several Pul and Lem(at least 4 of each).

The Mal and 1 of the Ums were found in the same game in a timeframe of around 5 minutes. Um dropped in the Crystalline Passage and Mal in the Frozen River while saving Anya. 3 more people were in the same game, but as my char as a melee one(Frenzy barb) he was the closest to the monsters, so I grabbed both.

Of course, I've seen some HRs drop on other multi games(including Zod) but wasn't fast enough to grab.

I found the Gul and most of these Lems quite recently(Countess, HF) and given the high amount of dupes these days, I'll keep these as a personal, legit trophy.

First was ohm in palace cellar lvl 2
Second was cham ii believe was in CS
Third was a Lo from crystaline passage(too bad this was on NL

Well i got a question..i havent been able to bring myself to actually trade or use em since theyre 100% legit(to me) What do you guys do with your self found legit HR's:grin:

I found a Sur when I was the only player in the game, and I've seen Ber and Jah fall in Baal runs. On both of those occasions some bozo with pick it got the runes. One thing I love about summoners, they lesson the effectiveness of pick it so everyone has a chance.
