Best PvM Team [Continued]

First off, let me say thank you to all who have posted suggestions upon suggestions for me and my friend. We have decided on a Fishymancer(summoner nec) and smealot (zealer with 1 pt. in smite)... Now to the new matter at hand... I know there are many char building guides on this site, but they lack the team aspect that me and my friend have.

Now, I ask, what would the best skill/stat/gear/merc spec and gear spread (STRICTLY FOCUSED ON PvM AND UBER TRISTRAM, NO PvP REQUIRED) for both characters, taking into account the following requirements

1) Both be able to solo through the game (solo'ing ubers isnt as important as we will be doing this as a team)
2) Both characters be active throughout the game as well as in ubers
3) The most budget item layout as possible (we arent poor, but not godly rich either)... However, if the most budget layout IS godly rich, then post that, we will just have to work harder :p
4)Take advantage of the fact that we will be a team most of the time......

I know this is alot of stuff to take into account, and Im asking alot here, but thank you to all who take time out to aide me and my friend. Also, if there are any guides already on the site that answer my question that I have overlooked, please dont hesistate to post the link to it. Thanks again to all, and sorry for my rambling :)

Thanks for your reply. I've read all three above guides and I come off with some questions....

1) What mercs should we use that would work best individually and as a team?

2) As a fishymancer, would it be best to go for maxing skele mage, or would that just be a waste of points?

3) And as a smiter/zealer, is there another viable build that allows for you to max both smite, zeal, and all other necessity synergies/auras, or is the 1pt in smite the best for solo pvm, team pvm, and ubers?

Every paladin has one point in smite, as it's a prereq for holy shield and (chargers might not use HS) charge, so saying smealot instead of zealot is just as wrong as saying smammerdin or smarger :rolleyes:.

Regarding mercs, I suggest an act 2 nightmare offensive and an act 2 nightmare defensive one. An alternative might be to equip an act 1 one from normal mode with Faith in great bow (offers L12-15 fanaticism), a nightmare offensive act 2 merc (might aura) uses Pride (conc aura) while the zealer uses conviction (boosts damage skeleton mages and fire damage from corpse explosion, lowers enemy defense).

With my alternative merc + paladin aura setup, mages make sense, so you will have to max raise skeleton, raise skeletal mage, skeleton mastery and CE while having one point in each curse, clay golem, golem mastery, summon resist and revive (maybe a few others). That will keep you busy with leveling until L95, I guess :azn:. Max the mages last, it doesn't make sense to have them at half strangth in hell mode.

From the very beginning, go with two prayer mercs as soon as you get to act 2 normal. Prayer auras stack, so you get decent life regen for both characters and both mercs. Skeletons regen pretty fast themselves, so I don't know how much they benefit.

Might be a good idea to shop akara at as low a level as possible, with ~6k gold minimum for a +3 raise skeleton wand.

The problem is that you don't have enough skill points for that. My point was that it doesn't make sense to max it together with maxing something else because you gain skill points at a slower rate than you will need them. Better max the one first and then the other and the other skills are more important. The mages are just the creamtop, you don't really need them. When playing alone, I probably wouldn't use them at all, but maximize bone armor or something like that.
