Best pvm build

Hello, I'm new with assassins
I'd like to know what's the best guide listed in the forum for pure pvm assassins.

Thanks :)

There is no best assassin. Each build has its ups and downs. Why don't you read the assassin guides and see what interests you  ? Since you're new to assassins, I'll recommend a Lightning Trapper. Pretty straightforward and doesn't require expensive gear in order to succeed.

I agree Lighting assn would be the best for pvm and realli cheap to make also decent in pvp ^^

The best first build for an assassin is probably a Phoenix Striker (my first and favorite), Lightning/Fire Blast trapper (fun and powerful), or a kicker (also fun and powerful). If you have played both a Trapper and Kicker all the way through, then I would suggest a kicker/trapper (which I'm currently working on) since they have the potential for being the most powerful Assassin PvM.

How effective is TigerStrike/DragonTail build? I've read damage can be outrageous, but I can already forsee the common problems with physical immunes and iron maiden curse. I'm relatively new to sin's too, and I'm going to build a martial arts sin next...

Crazy damage on monsters!

That's what I'm building now: Max PS, max TS, and Max Dragon Tail as a killer finisher. All martial arts, not one point in the traps tree.

Can run hell mode all alone, but not a very good PvP'r, but I'm ok with that, hate doing PvP.

Currently have exquipped Natalya's helm, armor (with ED jewel) and two Bartucs. Crafted blood gloves with +2 to MA, and + to skills crafted ammy.

Thanks for the answers :D

I started the trapper/kicker from C-Beat's guide. It's a lot of fun :D

Her currently level is 43.
skills:

18 DTalon
16 Lightning Sentry
3 CBS
1 Death Sentry
1 Shock Web
1 BoS
1 Shadow Master

One last question:

How to calculate the final LS damage?

I supposed:
(3 CBS + 1 DS + 1 SW) * 0,12 * ( slvl16 LS damage (270) ) + ( slvl16 LS damage ) = 432

but the real damage is 348, so.. what's wrong?

Thanks and sorry for any possible english error :D

Only mainstream build I haven't made yet, heh.
If you talk about mainstream build for all characters then I disagree with you. I play HC and the only assassins I see are trappers and nothing else. Mainstream for me are JavaZon, BlizzSork, Meteorb, Hammerdin, Trappers, Smiter, Barb, MinionNecro. You should try Ts/Dt it's very good.

I know I will after I've made my Phoenix-sin. So far I've played around with a couple of assn-builds and I've gotta say that the trapper is best suited for pvm, but it is also the least fun build to play imho(I am more a hack-n-slash kinda guy). So far my biggest success of the assn builds come from the Phoenix-striker, it is very offensive minded but you also have to keep a mind on defence or else you die. ^_^ There is also very few monsters in the game that are immune to fire, physical and lightning if you take that route. I have done so twice already and will shortly begin on the 3rd one. :)
I've read much on the TS/DTail build and will try it out later, but for now I would say The Trapper, but the Phoenix striker should not be forgotten.

I pretty much only play Assassins with a few random forays into other classes. TS/DTail is the only main Assassin build I haven't done (other than pure Blade Fury - though all my builds include the skill, so it doesn't really count). Eventually I'll get to it, right after I find a Vex from Hellforge, a Lo from Countess, Tyraels from Andarial, and get a +2 sin/+3 LS/+3 MB/+3 DS/IAS/Resists claw from rescuing Anya.

Trapper/Dtalon

One of the strongest builds you can make as an assassin is (As was mentioned) a lightning trapper with dragon talon. Lightning traps do decent damage as is, add in a 2frame attack dragon talon with atleast 50% crushing blow, and you are pumping out tons of damage. There are only three monsters that you may have some trouble with and that is Diablo clone, Uber Mephisto, and Madawc. All are immune to your traps, so you have to rely on your kick only. Keep a lifetap wand on the switch, and these three are still quite doable solo. Gear is pretty much the same as a regular trapper, you just have to make sure you have some crushing blow and keep your attack rating up.

(Also, I know that the DClone only has 95% to lightning, but for all pratical purposes, he is pretty much immune)

I made one of these and had a fully charged 28k Dragon Tail kick . . . nasty. Only thing I've ever done more with is my Double Dream Sorc (54k zeal! Woot!).
