Best place to hunt high runes (ber-zod)?

Well, what is the best place for runes from Ber to Zod? I thought Cow Level, but just wanted to ask to be sure.

And does anybody know a GOOD guide for a javazon for cows? Now I'm using my summon necro, but its a bit slow to get an army each time.

The probability to find high rune is very low. Many people didnot find one after years of playing.

The best chance is to do hell forge, then cube up or trade for high runes.

For good guides for javazons, go to the Amazon forum.
High runes are extremely hard to hunt period. You are better off sticking to MF and just sell off your findings until you get enough to trade for a HR.
If you really wanna do it, Act 3 Council Members drop HRs very well (By "very well" I mean comparing to other monsters, it's still nearly impossible to find one).

what i heard:

opening chests is good.
opening "special" chests is better.
lower kurast has the highest density of normal chests in the game.

i'm going for an opener char soon, because the great marsh has 3 "special" chests (4 if you count the one in the dungeon there.)

I suggest stay in the Hell cows.

Let me take this oppertunity to again congratulate myself for finding a Zod there last week!!!

Normally a person does not "hunt" for high runes

One just accepts that finding one is pointless compared to trading for one of them from the dupers.

It's the pride of just finding one that counts, even if you don't get what they are worth in trades.

damn rawj how often do u play if u found sur/vex/ohm and ber before??
Thats not unusual to self-find these if you play long enough. I have found zod and jah before, looking for ber so i can make a enigma (very rare to make a self found 1 in SP). But then i play at least a couple of hours a day, every day. Often at weekends i can play all day long.

A pretty fast way would be rushing a character to hellforge q in hell, should take less than an hour from point zero, you get nice runes there and you can cube them afterwards.
If you got a few cd-keys(which some people here on the forums have 4-6) it's lightning fast.

What kind of character are you rushing with Lior? I have to switch to my poison/skellimancer in Hell and don't have Enigma so it takes me more like 2+ hours.

When I rush I use a sorc, the thing is I rarely rush.
I prefer playing for mfing, if I had a few friends that play d2, maybe then we would have rushed, but rushing 1 personne is a big pain, plus act2 sucks big time.

use a durimule. it is a char that has the staff and inserted it into the holder, and then quit the game before killing duriel. any game made with that char from then on will have an open doorway to duriel. also, if you do the summoner quest, you will always get the clue to where duriel's tomb is.
