Well, if toy are planning to use lidless, then go for ES. Orb works nicely with ES, since it doesn't require so much synergias as blizz to be effective.
Skills should look something like this:
-orb: 20
-mastery cold: enough to have -175% enemy res, becouse mephi has 75% cold res, and -100 is absolut mininum res
-telekines: 20, you get 0.75 drain ratio
-ES: my sorc has lvl 20 es, and it works nicely, more=better tho
-rest into orb synergy and one point into frozen armor of your choice!
stats:
-str: classic answer, enough for your gear, since you are not using SS, you need only something like 80 str
-dex: With lidless max block is allmost impossible, so forgot this!
-vit: well, ES should aborb most of your damage, so you don't need a lot of this, of course, more life is allways better.
-nrg: much as you can spare, most of your damage is drained from mana, so make sure you got large mana pool!

Dex: 158 with items( i have max block)
vit: 100+
nrg: 150+
So, i have block+ES sorc, she has 800 life, and 850 mana. Block is max!
damage is about 480, cast is slow, but i don't care since i tank pretty much everything. I play HC, and i haven't been near death ever with this char ( well, ok, mayby once, but ididn't have end game gear on then!).
What can i say, i like my sorc, and i just love tanking( played baba before), i just hate moat trick, so i wanted to build char who doesn't need it
