Best Magic Find Equip Set-up?

Hi I'm an old player from the .08 days and I'm starting over on U.S. East under the name Trunksoul. I'm currently trying to build a good Magic-Find Bowazon. Any good build orders/Equip setups?

I'm going to go old school and pump guided arrow, even though I heard it isn't as uber as it used to be. (no more guided arrow pierce -> hit the same person 3 times in a row?)

So yeah I'd appreciate any help you fine gents will hand me with this. Synergy makes things a completely different ball game. I'm also thinking of starting a sorc since they are one of the traditional boss run/high mf classes.

Take care,

Trunksoul

P.S. I'm not adverse to changing the build to something else if guided arrow sucks now. I only put in 1 point into it. I have however, pumped 8 points into multi-shot.

What do you understand under a good magic find bowazon? If you expect to teleport through the wsk and kill baal under 5 minutes, then I will have to disapoint you. Amazons aren't made to teleport and certainly bowazons lack survivability. You'll never be as effective as your sorc.

HOWEVER, amazons aren't useless when it comes down to getting good items to trade. You just have to alter your goals. Bowazons - and often hybrides - are used to run alvl 85 area's trying to find socketable items. white and gray items in which nice runewords can be made.
If these are your goals, mf isn't important, the less the better.

I would start by having a look at the guides posted in the sticky and then pick a build to you find interesting. If you search a bit - best to use google for that - you may find a topic about loading up mf on a bowazon, yet as said, don't expect to teleport through the wsk.

P.S. yes guided arrow stinks - one point for bosskilling is enough. And 8 points in multi isn't wrong though if you expect to get good equipment, it's a bit much. Don't forget to put atleast one point in strafe and one in freezing arrow. Strafe is better in some occasions and freezing arrow is very usefull for freezing monsters.

I agree that Guided Arrow is pretty much a 1-point wonder. Use it for boss killing or sniping one or two enemies at a time, but you'll want crowd killing ability...and GA won't give you that. To be honest, I once considered building a Bowazon around GA but I realized it would make my life truly hellish, by being unbearably slow, awkward, and probably deadly (for me), that I dismissed all thoughts of it.

Two guides on budget MF Bowazons:

One of my favorite MF'ers is a strafe dexazon that runs the pits almost exclusively using:

Upped WWS (shael; ed/ias jewel)
Tal's Helm (ed/ias jewel)
Tal's Armor (PTopaz)
Tal's Belt
Crafted Kb gloves with 20% IAS, 18% mf
War Trav 50% mf
Cat's Eye
Ravenfrost
Fortuitous Ring of Fortune 40% mf (this is my precious!)

Switch:
Demonlimb (hel)

I like her so much because she can efficiently run the pits (easy alvl 85 area) solo in 8 players game while carrying 450 to 500% MF.
