Best item place on nm

I am at hell act2 but i am really having great problem with my gear because both my defense and resists are too low so i decided to mf at nm and what are the best places other than boses?

Anything with a lot of monsters at a high level.

Going for the bosses has a big advantage, though: you KNOW that you'll meet a boss with a much better chance for uniques/sets than the regular monsters.

I did a lot of Shenk/Eldritch runs (and probably Pindle and Baal/Diablo as well) in NM before I started MFing in hell.

I was in exactly the same position as you not too long ago until I managed to get myself smoke in a dusk shroud, pretty cheap really for 50% resist all, its not great but it let me play in hell.

my first character was a lit trapper as they seemed v simple to play completly untwinkled. I therefore didnt have any way to teleport..
..So I found that nm baal runs were more produtive than mephy just because of the size/layout of durance wasn't good for my build whereas WSK was fairly simple.

what character/build are you playing as ?

I didnt bother with Shenk/Eldritch as I haven't found anything decent from either! :grrr:

I've had quite a bit of luck with Andariel MF runs on NM. You won't get the high quality items that can occur in higher acts, but she can be run very quickly on players 8 for a large number of drops. Plus with the drop bug she is usually good for 1-2 uniques or set pieces per kill. She's supposedly the best spot for a SoJ, but I've never been fortunate enough to see one.

I normally do Hell Pindle + Meph + Andy runs but just happened to do a NM Andy run one day when I accidentally made a NM game instead of Hell. And I got a SOJ for my efforts.

For MFing in NM Baal runs are pretty nice because you get to clear out a high level area full of monsters, then get some mini-bosses and a full boss at the end.

Other options are Pindle + Shenk + Eldritch because they are all very easy and no teleporting needed for a super quick run. Other options are Diablo runs (my merc always gets nailed by the auras though.

For MFing I would suggest sticking with boss runs (Meph and Andy particularly) and even Hell Andy runs.

One other note, if you are currently holding all MF gear, I would switch it out for non-MF gear that has better defense and resists to get through more areas and a higher level. Once you get going and can start doing Hell Meph runs then you can start switching MF gear back in (as long as you keep you survivability and speed up). The key is that a run with low MF in 5 minutes is better than a run with higher MF in 10 minutes. So make sure you can stay alive and kill quickly first, then start increasing your MF.
