    TS Kicksin

    Double Swing Barb

    Holy Fire 'Din

    Clay Golem/Bone Armour Necro

All good options, though some might be banned from your local Iron Man tourney.

Uhm, I think Holy Fire is a tier 1 skill? No, no. I put points into fire resist until I hit 6 then I put the rest into Holy fire.

    Start out with no gear.

Get to lvl 9, then duel using what you found (and, depending on tourney bought).

Also depending on tourney is the use of mana pots.

Can I just PM you directly anytime I need to ask a noob question from now on?

The sad thing is I competed in one of these like 2 years ago.. Don't think we called it an IRONMAN though. I thini I did a smite holy fire varient back then. It was interesting.

Ironman = playing through the game as far as you can get starting untwinked and taking no town trips.

What people on D2 currently play is NOT ironman no matter how much you want to try and claim it is.

I would argue that if 98% of people who use the term "ironman" mean "level up to 9 untwinked without going to town, then duel", that the 98% is right.

A term is subjective, its definition is not set in stone. After all, whats the point in having a meaning, if that meaning is not what 98% of people think of when you use the word (especially if they all think of the same other thing...)

That may be what it means in other contexts, but in D2, in my mind, it does indeed mean leveling to 9 untwinked and dueling.

    No.
If that were the case then 'legit' would include using MH.

I think the lamers actually know MH isn't legit but their ego prevents them from saying they are doing something illegitimate.

So if 98% of people actually THINK something not just SAY it, then the 98% is in most cases correct.

No offense, but rather not. I only have one PM spot available (out of 5), so my inbox would constantly be full then ;-)

Also, and that's a much more important reason, we'd be depriving people of the chance to get their post count up in a meaningful and intelligent manner

Or in a non-meaning full unintelligent manner such as this.

Exactly - a great example provided by the kindly Toolmaster, who never is too good to illustrate such things perfectly.
