best gear for fury druid
wats the best gear u can get please tell me
check the guides out on the top of the druid forum, they have some good info there.
There is no "best", it all depends on the situation you're in when dueling an opponent.
Let us know a bit more of what you want out of your wolf and we will give you a list of gear to reach your goals.
im looking for alot of damage and i am gonna use grief PB and phoenix but i just need to know rest of gear
I'd advise against a pheonix shield, go with a Shael'd Stormshield, reaching max block with a pheonix is very costly.
Once again, the Guides are your friend. Don't use Pheonix though unless it's for PvM : /
Phoenix is bad because firestorm will interrupt your fury.
But if you really want to use phoenix, you should think about dex build, cause you'll need a lot of dex to have max block with it. And with dex build you can use runeword "fury" in fanged knife or cruel fanged knife of quickness, which damage is boosted by dexterity too.
Otherwise, I don't see phoenix as a viable option, but to be honest, I never tried phoenix, it's too expencive for something that doesn't promise much.
phoenix is also bad cause of its slow blockrate. it sux for all melee really
oh ok so wat is best shield?
FBR, Best cahnce to block without sacrificing survivability, DR%... 'nuff said.
can use guardian angel ... and faster block rate crafted ammy to lessen dex ... ga will increase blocking chance. I dont think its totally useless build ... but definitly not a cheap or easy one ... needs lots O testing.
doing that you lose all dr and at the same time your blockrate will still be slower and damage wont be better either.......
The best/easiest way is to settle on two handers for damage and Grief/SS for durability. You don't really have to go only one way either. If you want both on the switch, then the only thing is you will have extra dex when you switch to a two hander, since a max block is a goal to have while using SS. Totally worth it though, even for PvM. PvP I wouldn't recommend anything else.
Since this topic spread to the discussion of shields, I have my own question. The Shael rune you recommended for the SS, is it very helpful? Just asking because I'm using a PDiamond in mine for some resistances that I'm lacking. Should I use a Shael instead?
Thanks for any replies, I have no experience using this certain rune in shields.
Edit: This is for a F/R PVPer
Is this true? In that case, is it necessary then to leave your druid torch in the stash while you duel, because it casts firestorm on striking?
Yes, the shael does actually help. If you go to http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=551#General%20Breakpoints, you'l notice that the shael will actually increase your block framerate by 1 in a Stormshield, which is base 35%FBR I believe.
do you want a pvp advice or a pvm advice?can you tell your lvl/skills/stats?it will help.....
Different firestorm. The one on Phoenix is the druid's firestorm, which includes a delay timer, which messed with your fury. The torch's firestorm is Diablo's, which doesn't carry a timer.
Not quite, there were some tests done a few months ago if i recall right that if u had the 84 fhr bp, it was better to have an ss without the shael, and if u made the 42 bp, then u would want the shael'd ss. I'm sure theres some people on the forum that will remember this test.
hmmm too be honest after i took shael out of my Stormshield i didnt notice any difference in how many attacks i blocked at all , for me it looks like i block more with out shael 42 or 86 fhr.
I went with a rare jewel in my Stormshield too balance my dex and str.
I remeber correctly stats were 9str/9dex , 1-94 light dmg , 15*ar
this gives me exactly enough dex for max block and adds nice little str boost with couple other minor sexy mods.
