but if you're going to reject using upped bartucs for the stat reqs, i would imagine you would say the same to the dex requirements for block with ss.
That's true. If you're going to go max block and you have the runes to upgrade the Bartuc's just burning a whole in you inventory, then there really isn't any reason not to upgrade them. But there's just not much point since you'll hardly notice a difference.

I'm not sure I understand your comment.
when you bug your WSM, you switch the order of your claws, meaning the claw over your gloves becomes the secondary one, and the one over your boots becomes the primary one, so bugging still does affect TS in that it switches which claw it attacks with.

p.s. iirc, i thought claw block worked when you walked. i remember hearing a lot of clinks when i walked away from bone spirits, and blocking a ton of attacks when whirling.

Nope, Weapon block is only effective if you're standing still. WW is considered an attack, not movement.

The Arreat Summit said:
Passive Effect: After developing this skill, an Assassin wielding two Claw-class weapons can use her blades to deflect incoming attacks, thus giving herself a defensive edge without using a shield. (Requires two equipped Claw-class weapons.)
  • Weapon Block allows Assassins to use two Katar (or Claw Weapons) while still having Blocking. Assassins that use two Katars will want to invest heavily in this skill. Even a 1% Increase in Blocking will provide a great amount of protection.
  • Weapon Block does not benefit from Dexterity or increased chance of blocking.
  • You will only block while standing still or attacking. Weapon Block does not work while walking or running.
  • Note: Whirlwind is an attack and weapon block will still function during the attack.

Yes, but not in a beneficial way. The speed of TS is simply not affected.
