Best Char when TOTALLY twinked out?

Just for fun (and because I'm a little bored, its late) I was wondering what the most powerful build would be, assuming you could get ANY gear in the game.

Most powerful = best at running through Hell, in pretty much all situations (so basically, able to handly anything the SP game has to offer)

I was thinking Hammerdin, Bowazon, some melee paladin? Light sorc... maybe... a necromancer, summoning or bone?

Throw in your suggestions, what is the best build for teh reasons stated above, in your opinion (and state why).

Dude that's just totally broken. Try and tone it down a bit.

I'd say naked sorc with potions. Total ownage! :jig:

    Any? I'd go with a dual-Dream bear-sorc with a 6 shael Phase Blade. Max enchant/warmth/FM/LM = dead everything with 60K + damage a pop at 4 frames...

Realistically? Hammerdin is hard to argue with.

Dupewords don't do anything to characters that the untwinked version can't do, just slower (or with less teleporting in the case of a light sorc). Any of the standard cookie cutter builds are the correct answer.

how do you have an LF zon and an infinity polearm?

    @ fluffballer
the question was what would be the best builds if you had any item you wanted. i'm pretty sure everyone here already knows that those items are not necessary to be effective. it is my impression that antega wanted to know which builds give the best combination of killing speed and versatility if all items were available. in this case, the killing speed is relevant and high end items do make an impact. also some items allow some builds to be more versatile, i.e. infinity allows the light sorc to break immunities.

your post makes no valid points pertaining to the topic of this thread and delivers only a snide tone of self-importance (IMO).

    What the...??

Calm down spaz. My point was that all cookie cutter builds remain basically unchanged in everyway except all are speeded up about 70%. An untwinked hammerdin kills everything in the game except wailing beasts and maggot lair-- the same as an "Enigmadin".

Is there a difference in killing speed between a Enigmadin or Blizzballer with Infinity when looking at killing speed in all areas of Hell? Not at all.

Edit: Re the zon with Infinity-- the conviction makes her LF more powerful. She doesn't get the -% on the actually weapon, but ALL party members and minions benefit from conviction.

Where's the popcorn smiley when you need it?

Anyways, I was thinking of a light trapper wearing an infinity herself. How would that do? Especially with all the +skills including a torch, blah, blah, blah. That would free up your merc to use something else.

Of course, any other cookie cutter would be impressive all decked out.

Light sorc with Griffon and Infinity merc torch anni lightning gcs etc is certainly impressive.
My personal favourite class is melee. So a well decked out zealot or frenzy barb for the up close action cant be beat.
Also a dual dream, dragon, hoj, conviction using auradin is pretty sweet also.

The -res wouldn't work, traps being minions and all, but you would still get conviction...

This is kind of off topic: But lets say someone somehow was able to make the RW "Last Wish" how would that work out, i mean its got excellent mods but would it be any good?

    Last Wish
    Jah + Mal + Jah + Sur + Jah + Ber

6% Chance To Cast Level 11 Fade When Struck
10% Chance To Cast Level 18 Life Tap On Striking
20% Chance To Cast Level 20 Charged Bolt On Attack
Level 17 Might Aura When Equipped
    +330-375% Enhanced Damage (varies)
    Ignore Target's Defense
60-70% Chance of Crushing Blow (varies)
    Prevent Monster Heal
    Hit Blinds Target
+(0.5 per character level) 0.5-49.5% Chance of Getting Magic Items (Based on Character Level)

Last Wish is probably the best weapon for a Uber-Hunter warrior monk (BFury + D Talon sin)

Last Wish would probably also make a great off-hand Frenzy weapon.

Pure lightning sorc with an infinity merc is pretty darn hard to beat in terms of pure killing speed.

A well-geared hammerdin also kills rapidly, but has better survivability.

That bear-sorc sounded kinda fun too :p

Yeah, that would keep it from being incredibly overpowered.

That's like having crushing blow transferring to your minions. Can one imagine a summoner necro transferring crushing blow to his skellies and revives and golems!? You wouldn't even need Urdars anymore. That would be insane.

Imagine if Corpse Explosion also scaled with difficulty settings ...
