Best armor for Zealer.

Best armor for Zealer.

My friend is looking for an armor for a zealer, but he cannot get fortitude, which I don't think is the best for a zealer, is it?

What's an AP Fortitude worth, and...

What's a 22%-24% Damage Reduced Levithan worth.

25%?

PvP or PvM? PvM, Fort is probably the best. For PvP, it depends on your foe. Fort is best in some cases but not all. However, I can't think of a build where a Levi would be the ideal gear.

Ahh when it comes to PVP Zealing there are endless choices. My current build Zealot is using a AP fort, however my next one will be a Cham Levi eth Dc build. However one of the best Zealots I have seen so far on east used a eth Zod'd valor. So really there are many choices but you need to balance it otu with your other gear.

The best PvP Zealot Ive ever seen used an Eth Stone (assume glitched) Sacred with some other ridiculous gear and hit almost 80k defense. He never lost because he never got hit. Well I saw him get hit once, but he didn't die, and I never hit him :undecided:

That doesn't make it the best, I just thought Id share.

COH is the best armor because it has great resists.
My Zealot has 80/80/90/75 resists and uses Fortitude. I would trade all the stats on CoH for 300% ED on Fortitude; Chilling Armor is nice too.

I agree with Yerba; of all the classes, Paladins have the easiest time getting maxed resists. Um'd Hoz (72) + low Mara (23) + quests (30) + avg. anni (15) + avg. torch (15) = 155% to all. Even the worst Fort will max you out at 75%all in Hell. With a 35% Metalgrid, P res torch, P res anni, you can have 75% to all resists in Hell with no resists from your helm or armor, so you get the idea.

Try to find a way to replace the huge damage, life, and defense boost Fortitude provides and you'll see that Fortitude is far superior. I even like using Prudence in a glitched eth armor better than CoH. Zero repair cost and not getting hit (insane defense) is nice. That's what I use on my PvM Zealot most of the time (including Ubers). I find that with his gear I don't miss the extra damage and it's fun to be different.

Whats a good armour for a Non-ladder Zealot. I have a Guardian Angel but dont have the gear for good resists yet so + to maximum resists is useless.

I have two zealers this season, one is the "cc" build so he uses cham'd levi, the other uses the death, visonary helm, eth up'd shaft build. At least on east ladder those seemed to be the most common armors used in zeal duels, although some people will use eth valor or a fort. The armor totally depends on what build your going with and the rest of your gear there is no best. Also both my pallys are melee duels only so I didn't consider resist on them when gearing them up.

fort >> levi anytime. Who likes to look green.
The cc build is a very effective build as far as melee duels. And besides you don't look green to anyone else when your str glitched. If anyone on east ladder has a zealer and would like to see just how good levi can be I am always iso gm zeal duels.
