Best area for them good circlets?

What area would be best to find +2skill 20fcr+mods circlets? So far ive gambled like 10 trillion gold and havent found anything worth dreaming on.

+2 skills has an alvl of 90 for circlets etc. and according to the alvl calculation algorithm, circlets/coronets/tiaras/diadems need an ilvl of 87/82/77/any then. IMO gambling with a L92 (circlets) or L87 character (coronets) is the optimum way to get one, else kill bosses in L85 areas. Alternatively you can try imbuing them (produces an item with an ilvl of charlvl+5). Rerolling rare diadems with the 6 pskulls recipe is too expensive in comparison to gambling IMO.

Imbuing white diadems with throwaway characters is a good plan and I've had good luck with it. For every white diadem you find, it's worth it to create a character, level them to 8, complete the imbue quest, and see what you get as a result of an imbue. Of if you have some characters that aren't really going anywhere and are not high level, you may as well use their imbue for something potentially useful. It's not like white diadems are falling off of trees, but it is worth making the most of their possibilities.

i have gambled great galloping godwads of gold over time with lvl93+ characters. i have turned up a few useful circlets and a couple of godly ones. i'm still yet to gamble up a useable hybrid'sin claw however. that screeny is only one of many gamble-spree's i've done.

persistence and sheer bloody mindedness can pay dividends, eventually. maybe.

personally, i imbue greater talons @ lvl90+ (hopeing for said godly hybrid claw).

Just to echo what others are saying, the gambling screen is really the best place to get rare circs, rings, and ammies.

I would prefer gambling to imbuing as well because you have to produce a L8 character to get the reward and with a low-level character it must be a diadem which you have to obtain as well. In comparison, 1 in 10 gambled items is rare, so you need a bit more than a million of gold to gamble a rare coronet or better (assuming Gheed's+Edge being used by the gambler) or about 1/3 less gold for circlets which should be a matter of a few minutes by a goldfind character.

Re: Best area for them good circlets?

It doesn't matter where you gamble, but in hell mode you can sell back items for up to 35k.

Gambling for circlets can be a bit annoying. BTW, circlets have a maximum of 2 sockets, so it might make sense to gamble for coronets instead, although it costs a bit more. Coronets can't have 3 as well, but they might upgrade to a tiara or diadem. Circlets can't.

L95 is OK for any kind of gambling high-level stuff.

Is there a way to gamble a tiara or diadem with jewelers prefix and 30% frw suffix?. If so would i have to gamble coronets??, and what lvl would i have to be?. Thank you.

Re: Best area for them good circlets?

You'd have to be level 52 since that's where coronets start showing up. Couldn't find any info on special lvl reqs for them to upgrade though. The Artisans prefix and the Run walk suffix are lower than that in ilvl req. However if you get to clvl 59 all your gambled coronets will also have the potential to roll the Jewelers prefix. So you have two chances for the 3 os prefix..

Re: Best area for them good circlets?

You need a tiara or diadem to get 3 sockets and the higher the character level, the higher the chance for a coronet being upgraded to that. On the other hand, the higher your level, the more other affixes are available, reducing the chance for the affixes you want. In total I think that the higher the level, the better.

Circlets don't upgrade at all when gambling.

Gamble Coronets, since a Circlet can not upgrade to a Tiara/Diadem (the circlet types with 3 sockets max).

Tiaras are qlvl 60, so you want to be at least level 65, so this upgrade is always possible, even on the lowest possible ilvl on gambles.

(I agree with krishan - I also think that the higher level the better, since the upgrade to Tiara/Diadem then becomes more likely)

Tiaras can never have lower alvl than 73 and Jeweler´s is alvl 55 (Artisan´s and 'of Haste' is way lower), so that is not an issue.
