best 2 pally combo

best 2 pally combo

some friends and I are planning to start a party together and go through the game from lvl 1 as a group. atm its looking like we'll have a barb, a bowazon and 2 pallies. 2 of us are n00bs and the other 2 are more experienced but not with pallies, so I was wondering if any of you guys had some juicy 2 pally combo's.

the fanaticism/concentrate combo I think is a given (especially with the barb and bowazon around), but what the best use of skill points is becides this I'm not so sure of.

the object is to try to get the best out of the group rather than get the best single chars, so we will use skills to that effect.

Good solid choice on those two main auras, but don't forget your utility auras - your one point wonders as well. Cleansing is wonderful for getting rid of poison and curses, and salvation can't be beat in those moments where you don't have enough res.

Don't forget to use holy shield (if you are planning to use a shield). Other than that, have fun and be sure to check out the FAQs and stickied threads on this forum.

I'd suggest an avenger and a hammerdin. Hammerdins add massively to damage, and avengers would add to chance to hit. Since from conc the zon and barb would be dealing massive damage, they need chance to hit more than they would extra damage. Avengers are way underestimated IMO.

Also, Fanatacism isn't a good party aura--it's range is too small. 7.3 yards as I recall. And it doesn't get any better. Yes Fanatacism does add to AR, but it's doesn't add the full % either. And it doesn't add full % damage either as I recall.

Bottom line--Avenger+Hammerdin for parties.

Fanaticism had a range of 7.3 yards in 1.09. Since the patch it has risen to roughly 20 yards. It also adds the same amount of AR and IAS to party members, however the damage added to their attacks will be halved. I would say that considering your party, you might want to go with Fanaticism. Zons, barbs and pallys all benefit greatly from the bonuses of Fanaticism. However, Conviction will allow you to kill physical immunes. It's your call.

I think we probably will go with the fanaticism/conc combo (its good to hear the range has been increased). conviction is one of the main candidates were thinking about for the alternative auras. (I guess we can each have 1 main aura maxed, plus an alternative one to a decent level, and have some skill points left for things like holy shield, zeal, etc) other auras under consideration are things like salvation.

so looks like fana/conc as the main combo and conviction/salvation as an alternative.

Ah, I guess Fanatacism got a beef in 1.10. My mistake, I haven't even considered Fanatacism since 1.09. I would still go with a hammerdin and an avenger though, or maybe an avenger and fanta zealot. As far as maxing two auras? I wouldn't recommend it and I'll tell you why. In order for your pallies to be effective, skill points must be placed very carefully. Unless all 4 of you plan to be on at the exact same time every time, you would need for each character to be effective in more ways than one. Effective both in parties and solo. Also , just a suggestion, necros are far better party chars than zons are. Necros have more minions, more helpful curses, and the ability to kill any immunes. Poison, fire, magic, and physical. All are very strong depending on which way you go for and what items you have available.

I'd say fanat/conc zealot/zealot. Thats fun as hell and coupled with different act 2 nightmare mercs, calls for a LOT of auras... Get a might and a holy freeze merc from act 2 nightmare, and have some FUN. lol... Two zealots are fun as hell in PvM though.
