Is building a beserker barbarian a smart idea?
Seing that berserkers have no def while attacking, a somewhat slow attack at least compared to frenzy and whirlwind, I doubt you can say they are among the most effective builds...
Depends on how you define smart.
It probably would be a fun build, and different/stylish, which is good imo.
They can definately work. I have seen them take down top zeal and fury, and telezerk can take down casters - ww barbs and smiters are the hard part.
Zerkers cant begin to compare to ww barbs in softcore.
They are however the cream in hardcore.
I've heard AA juv zerker is strong strong strong.
only against pure vita casters. Any decent melee or hammer will kill you faster than you can rejuv.
but seriously, I have seen some who can take pretty much any melee, telezerk can take a good bit of casters - except, it is going to lose to ww or smite. So, put a point to ww and that takes care of smite, and never duel ww!

I doubt how 1 point in ww can take on a decked out smiter.
Maybe his wwing with a giant thresher or something =)
In a rejuv match a >good< geared telezerker >>>>>>> a similiar geared hammerdin.
Also zerk >> fury druids, zealots etc.
any hammerdin who dies to a telezerker needs a brain implant. and no unless you are using a shield fury druids and zealots will kill you instnalty since zerk makes your def go to 0. Even with block a half decent fury druid or zealot will kill you pretty fast. although conc can kill them.
I would suggest you give hardcore duelling a try then, since you will have no problem getting good telezerkers to duel your hammerdin, or getting zerkers to duel your fury druids and zealots whatever.
Fury druids and zealots have the potential to win, if they get lucky and trigger amp and having time to get some decent hits in before the barb run to town to get rid of amp.
Conc might get you kills vs a few non dr, non block fury druids, but not vs a
Zerk can be used effectively as a secondary skill for BvCs. If you're good at telezerk, it's easier to slay sorcs and necs with it.
Hardcore zerkers leveled high enough to use nigma and good gear? Talk about risky.
Little bit o lag = waste of weeks collecting gear/leveling
Or do you have friends scavenge your corpse? What if they get killed by the same guy as you did ? :jig:

yes, we use all the gear we can get.
Most people use looters, ei. a sub lvl 9 char, or another high lvl char. There is also duels called Loot duels where you give your enemy loot.
are you kidding me what kind of good hammerdin will lose to a berzerker barb
i'm pretty good at telezerk myself although my barb is a ww barb. Honestly, i haven't see anyone who can telezerk better than me wihtout aa or gmod. However, if i told any decent nl duelers that i could beat good hammerdins using zerk only they'd only laugh at me.
You just dont kill a rejuving telezerker with hammers, they are too slow.
Im ofc are talking about hardcore duels, but since this was a debate about rejuv duels, that kinda close the gap on hardcore and softcore pvp. imo
you can get kill with 2-3 quick 12k + desync hammers or a mini lag while you have a very hard time trying to hit a none stop charing hdin with a swing attack
once your hit you'll be too busy hitting your full rejuvation potion button
@ blobswannabe i see ur point but remember this is hardcore where ppl juv pots etc and a char build there is all about max dmg, i.e kill ur opponment in as very few hits as possible, i.e 1-2 hit kills so the person does not have time to drink and rejuv. This is why a zerk barb works wonders there.
I think tele zerk can work although its considered a myth vs hammers, ive only ever tele zerked a hammer once successfully but this could have been luck and, or lack of skill on opponment cuz if u do it wrong u get interupted by being hit by hammer and can lead to a fast death.
Conc though i think would have a more solid chance.
