yeah, but you'll need to re-equip the beast to unmorph, or to re-morph if the timer runs out

I don't think so...Because usually wereforms only rely on IAS on the weapon. This should be true for non-druid shifters too, but what the breakpoints are

The following is taken from the Palabears-The Weretemplars guide

"Weapon: Biggest subject of the entire build, reason being is that it revolves around one important weapon. The Beast runeword that grants you the Werebear shift, this does not have to be your main attacking weapon though. Now for what I'm trying to achieve in this guide is to attain the highest attack speeed as possible, since Paladins are very IAS freindly there for getting it will be easy here. Keep in mind all speed is acquired from your weapon, not anywhere else, not even Fanaticism could help. Since I cant verify all speeds I will leave it to you to decide what your weapon of choice is. (The easiest way to attain 4 frame attack speed is with a Phase Blade and 60% IAS.) These are the top weapons I present.

    Lightsabre Phase Blade
    Azurewrath Phase Blade
    Grisworld's Redemption Caducues
    BoTD: Phase Blade
    Hand of Justice: (Fire Palabear)
    Doom: (Freeze Palabear)
    Crescent Moon: (Shock Palabear)"
