Bear Barb

This is probably an old question but I was thinking of trying 'Beast' with a Barb and making a BearBarb. This seems like a nice way to make a tough a$$ brawler. Could someone point out the flaws i may not be thinking of... or point me to the discussion that's probably already taken place about it.

ok... first think about the flaws of a bear..... AR......
then think about the flaw of a barb using whirlwind or normal attack... AR

put these 2gether u get pissed *** ar dat couldn't hit a nm fallen if u needed to....

OT: a wolfbarb is efficient as the weakness of a wolf is its def....and barbs weakness is ar..... wolf has GREAT ar/high life/speed.. a barb has GREEAT life/GREAT DEF/... therefore combining the 2 makes such a strong melee char

A pure wolf druid can give you a run for your money, considering that wolfbarbs only have one attack skill to work with, while wolf druids have a different array a beneficial skills. Defense IS a downside however.

Bearbarians also suffer slow hit recovery and block rates. Now a Wolfbarb can just just the same or worse to a Wolf Druid, dont get that wrong.

Okay, so i want to build a bear barb just to have dmg that freakin high. Just for fun. How do I get my AR up to respectable lvls?

u cant make a viable pvp bear barb.... even in single player with 39 3/20/20 and anglic combo my ar stil sucked for pvp.... and even hell pvm.....
also u cant archieve INSANE dmg as u hoped since u'd be attacking with normal attack (also a reason y the ar would b so low)... .... and to hit at 4fpa... u HAVE to use a 120ias gris caddy (i think)... which AGAIN goes against the "INSANE DMG" ur hoping for... AND lacking ar would help u anywhere!

the thing is u CANT get a bearbarb ar up to a respectable lvl... just like u cant get a dagger necro hitting 4fpa/high ar/nice dmg .....

some builts are just not good enough.. lol

if u REALLY want a bear (assuming u got beast) .. go make a melee sorcbear ..... they could own pretty much ALL melee

OT: usually peps makes the enchant one... dats real powerful (offensive)
but ive made 1 thats quite different (again assuming u like weird n fun builds)
max:
cold mastries/shiver armor(vs melee)/telekenesis/1x shiver armor synergy/rest in energy shield

using:
doom/eth nightwing/ss(20/20 cold faceted monarch)/coh(20/20 cold facet jewelers) and rest of the gear pretty much up to u...

usually as soon as they hit u they die.. or after a couple of hits...
