Bard: is this a possible class?

I was searching google and trying to see if i can find if there was any leaked information on diablo iii from this years upcoming Blizzcon and came across something very intresting. I do not know how much is true, but could provide a clue on a future class.

this page was very annoying, i had to keep hitting the back button every 2 second to keep reading because i would get an error pae after it was fully loaded. From what i undertsnad there was a rumor for the original diablo expansion (hellfire) that there was some extra stuff on the disc, that blizzard did not fully finish, including 2 quest, which with a mod could people could play, and 2 other classes that were not finish and un able to play with.

one being the Barbarian and the other being a bard. Thing that kind of kool there are working animations on the page of these charecter and some information on the charecter. This rumor was talked about before diablo 2 came out, and in diablo 2 they included the barbarian, so this still would leave a class they wanted unfinished.

Do you think this is possible to be one of the remaining to classes, and how do you think it would differ from the description of the Bard on that page.


Here is what i can copy and paste for those that dont have the patience i had.

Little is known about this character, where she comes from and what her motives are. She has the ability to use two swords simultanously with deadly precision, which makes her a fearsome opponent. She also has the ability to sense what magical enchantments are cast on a magical item.

Bard's starting stats:

Strength 20
Magic 20
Dexterity 25
Vitality 20
Life 45
Mana 35

Bard's maximum stats:

Strength 120
Magic 120
Dexterity 120
Vitality 100
Life 221
Mana 231

Bard's skill: Identify
The Bard is able to identify magical items, just like Cain. This is very useful in the beginning of the game when 100 gold is pretty much and also later in the game to quickly scan your inventory for useful stuff and throw the rest away.

Rember this is something apparently from a file from hellfire disk, so stuff about this would be different.

Hellfire wasn't created by blizzard. It was created by siera and therefore, it's unlikely that anything from hellfire means anything for the main serie.

Do you think this is possible to be one of the remaining to classes, and how do you think it would differ from the description of the Bard on that page.

There has been quite an extensive discussion about bards. I for one believe you can create a good character, though I don't think blizzard is going that way. Not for the final release anyway, perhaps in an expansion.

Suggest all you want, they will all be flushed down the toilet. Blizzard will make what THEY want, not what YOU suggesters blab on about. So you might as well stop wasting your time.

The purpose of this forum isn't to suggest things and submit them to Blizzard, or even to claim that one knows what Blizzard will or will not add.

It's simply a place for gamers to come together and share ideas about the up coming game.

Yelling won't help.

Hellfire had three classes: Barb, Bard, and Monk.

Ok i now Sierra did make hellfire, but here is the thing. The Diablo Franchise is still owned by Blizzard, so there is no way Sierra would been able to make this game with out some contractual agreement. And they would not let them do something they did not approve of.

The thing is Hellfire did have the Barbarian idea first and blizzard did use that, why not use another class that had been mentioned to the diablo realm, especially one that can fit very well. I am not saying that they will make a Bard a playable charecter, just that it could be possibel.

FYI, i think everynew the Helfire information woudl be old, since you know it was about a expansion from the FIRST game, but at the sametime maybe not everyone on here knew about thie, i did not untill i found some infomration about it on wiki, and since wiki can be edited by anyone, iresearched further to see if i can find anything else.

hey! "old"? I'm about 20 and I'm still playing D1, and though I never played hellfire, I know a little bit about it and I think that the speculations about a "bard" comes from the game itself. I don't like the idea though, I don't know why the term "bard" makes me think about that annoying asterix character...
I would like a "ranger", its cool, even with a spanish translation (which most of times s***... "which character are you using?" -"estoy jugando con un RANGER" -"oooohhhhh"

Hmm a couple of good points there. Although should point out that I wasn't yelling at anyone, just getting my point across, and I was just freshly annoyed. Apologies for that.
Even though my first post here WAS a detailed suggestion, with credible background, but a suggestion nevertheless, my feel for the whole thing still stands.

The thing I don't get is: do people suggest the gunslinger or the terminator etc assuming that someone from Blizzard is keeping an eye out, or is it just silly stuff to pass the time?

Not judging anyone, we all got our own different hobbies, but these suggestion topics seem to flood the place and I couldn't help but be irritated.
Newbies anonymously check around the forum to find some good (legit) D3 info and all they see is suggestion after suggestion that will never be implemented. What's the point?

If i said you yelled in some way i apologze, i dont care how you say stuff on here, because when i see it all, it still just text.

But anyways, the reason people do stuff like this is because we want to figure out what we dont know, we all are huge fan of the series, other wise we would not be spending time on these forums. Sometime people like know possibilites and other like to guess to see if they were right.

I dont know if the bard will be a class or not, along with the many other suggestions we have had. But i for one find it entertaining reading these ideas, and see what i would like to see, and who might of had a great guess or phsycic powers, lol. Thing of the matter witht the lack of information we have is what drives use to make guess like this. We all want to know what we are going to play with, so we can learn how they play and what we would like to make first.

I for one think a bard could be a cool edition along with a few other i that have been mentioned, like

and the dragon rider wich from the description would actually be a Dragoon.
