Trading, right. We also trade here on SPF. I know what you mean and it depends on players goals. One way or another, Enigma is long-term item that makes many characters either viable or very strong. So, if one player would have those runes and has any kind of plan for a future, best use for runes is to make Enigma. Any other stuff can be replaced with something, Enigma in most cases cannot be replaced with cheaper option since there is none that provides anything similar what Enigma gives. Sure, one can replace few pieces of equipment to try to reproduce strengths of Enigma, but that is a lot less practical than having it all in a single armor.
I know how can blocking and fhr be useful on a barb, I'm just telling that barb don't need those to functional properly and is usually better without block to use additional weapon for either higher damage output or higher MF (fhr can be useful if you can get it without sacrificing parts of equipment). Again depends on the player. Some players love block and they will go for it on almost every char, whether char needs it or not.
